Just to let you know. Chlorine was used as a chemical weapon in World War 2.

That is the stuff that is in your swimming pool.

 

What is likely to happen when you swim in it?

Dry skin. No really that's about it. If you're unlucky you could develop other medical conditions.

 

There is so little chlorine that you should be fine.

I've swam a lot in swimming pools and I'm okay.

 

The chlorine used to clean pools isn't in the form of mustard gas. What may be meant is hypochlorite solution a.k.a. bleach is used. FYI, bleach is a disinfectant, and a pretty darn fine one. It can kill a broad spectrum of microorganisms, except endospores by certain Gram-positive bacilli species. Bleach, however, is not a sterilizing agent, and when there are people swimming in that pool at the same time, the pool is teeming with microbial life. Still, it's okay to swim as long as you're not immunocompromised.

 

Now, what the mystery to me is how come you know something about chlorine and pool maintenance. Yet, you forgot there's a vagina between Joshua's jeans and the cervix?
