So here is the question. In your mind, is Joshua morally responsible for the upbringing of the accidental child?
(This is not a legal question. This is simply a moral one).
Yes, but Alice is morally obligated to ditch Robert's infertile self and be with Joshua so that they might raise their child together and be fruitful. Amen.

You have to leave this universe for good because of a destructive cosmic event...

I don't trust you. You could be some kind of wizard making me banish myself from this existence.
Funny thing, I had a box of kittens this summer. Stray mother cat had 3 kittens, was living in the wood pile next to my garage. I began feeding them when it as apparent they were not going to leave any time soon. Cute little critters but mommy cat though small was an evil bitc* that would claw your eyes out as soon as look at you.
I ended up trapping the kittens....they outsmarted me the 1st time or two.....out smarted by kittens. Finally i caught them all .....and.....looking at my rain barrell....decided the barrel needed a proper top. I then took the kittens across town......on the out skirts......in a box..... and dropped them off at the new SCPA building there so they could be homed.
Could not catch smart mother cat and it left the area shortly there after.
