Desire Demons were represented by the fully clothed male demon Imshael this time out. Brothels were dropped like a hot potato. Two of the nonsensical ways that the devs decided to follow their muse for some strange reason. I would have at least enjoyed hearing some raucous laughter at the Herald's Rest to at least suggest that men & women or other were at least engaged in some loveplay while dealing with what might have led to the end of the world. But no, shamefully whitewashed away, unlike the games which proceeded this one.

I keep having this vision of the Divine Vivienne opening Chantry-run brothels and staffing them with the Tranquil: "ThankyouverymuchSerComeagainsoon."

You usually don't find brothels in smaller villiages and we only went to the Summer Bazaar in Val Royauex. The Pearl and the Blooming Rose made perfect sense in context of the story. The Blooming Rose, especially since DA2 was a city campaging more or less.
Why not having Desire Demons and Brothels is white washing? I don't understand. It's not needed.

I'm older than your average gamer, and a military veteran to boot. I was never stationed anywhere in the world where either a brothel or at least a few willing prostitutes weren't conveniently available. Whores and/or barmaids being present in a fortress are a match made in heaven. Iron Bull does have dialogue commentary about the barmaids needing to unwind and his willingness to provide them with such physical succor, but we didn't get to "see" or "hear" any chatter within the Herald's Rest to suggest that activity was going on?

I'm older than your average gamer as well, and really? I'd rather have more lines of banter for companions than waste resources on something that doesn't advance the story. That is why Herald's Rest doesn't have what you're asking, because we're advancing the story and commentary relates to that.

Brothel is not politically correct.
DA:I seems to strive for certain political correctness, what with the Qun's modified opinion on female soldiers for Krem's benefit.
I think it's a bit childish personally, I support the right of everyone to act according to his or her sexual desires,
but I don't appreciate preachiness in my entertainment.
I could ignore preaching (who give a **** about what a liberal art degree writer think?), but that particular case goes against the lore. Sten is quite upset against soldier women and against those who want to be something they can't be. Now they want us to believe the qun, with Sten in the leadership, not only would accept a soldier woman, but it would also define her as a male (something that she, strictly, cannot be, deal with it sjws). And all that just to appease a small part of the audience. Was it worthy to rewrite an aspect of a complex culture for that, bioware?

Where would you put it?
Haven or Skyhold, or the fancy parts of Val Royeaux we get to see? That'd hardly fit in, IMO. Hinterlands? A bit remote and distant (also, possibly in fire), just like Fallow Mire, Crestwood, and Storm Coast. Emerald Graves is 90% forest, Sahrina is in ruins, just like majority of Exalted Plains. Hissing Wastes, Western Approach and Forbidden Oasis are pretty much noting but sand and ancient ruins.
If we saw any of the seedier parts of any big city, like Val Royeaux, for example, then having a brothel would make sense. But sticking one into any of the existing locations (into a forest, a desert, the fancy part of a capital city) would feel really out of place at best, and completely ridiculous and pandering at worst.

Brothel is first think me and many other Inquisitor would build in skyhold. It breaks immersion we can't do it.
I create my own Inquisition with Wicked grace and hookers.

If you listen to the chantry sisters in Haven you'll know that people are having sex just fine in camp without there being a brothel.

I think David Gaider himself spoke at a gaming conference about such issues and how certain things are portrayed in videogames and the offense it can cause.
In short, DAI was a game that was written on the basis of political correctness and not wanting to offend anyone. I doubt they will be in DA4 as well.

I don't run military organization. I don't know how Cullen not die of boredom. I use only Josephine and Leliana.

I suppose you won't have a problem with it assuming it had male strippers as well?
DA:O had male workers at the brothel, so it's only fair to bring them back too.

If they were going to add a brothel where would they add it LOL
I know there could be one in Val Royeaux becasue it is the only city in the game.
also it would not fit as the game is based on the more religious side.
