I kinda doubt we'll see the last Blight within this series.

If we did though, that'd just mean that instead of being drawn underground to search for the Old Gods they'll be free to act and go where they please, violent creatures without any sense of morality as they are... I find that far from boring.

Neither do I, but I do find the belief that Thedasians cling to that the end of the final blight means an in to darkspawn to be boring.

I'm not sure I wanna see a blight again for a very long time, at least not a whole game devoted to it.  It would feel too much like a rehash of DAO, although some people around here have said they feel like another blight is coming unusually soon.

I have wondered...if the games do well enough and the creative well is deep enough...an age is, what, a hundred years?  And we're already nearly halfway through?  What happens if the game runs long enough to reach the end of the Dragon Age?  I believe some ages use the same name twice...or will there just be an asterisk in the wiki saying that only the first half takes place in the Dragon Age, the other half takes place in the [whatever Divine Victoria calls it] Age?

I just played this mission, and I have to say, the fact that this mission is not available if you helped the mages is just another example of "they wasted a perfectly good plot".

This is an excellent mission and it should have been there for both sides. Dropped ball, really.

They've touched on that. The game has to be Dragon Age (branding and all that). They didnt say what exactly they would do

As much as I enjoy having my choices count in-game, I dislike being locked out of important bits of lore and character development.  Although I do enjoy judging Samson.  I wish I could judge Calpernia, have her working with Dagna for fun and profit.

I really think they should have run further with Corypheus feeling like the world needs to be repaired.  It's so much more interesting than "Grr.  Argh.  Fear me."  Maybe we'll get a DLC where we find information on his stint as Larius/Janeka, up through "Here, take this orb."

I also find it interesting that a person the wiki calls "narcissism incarnate" who comes from a culture where slaves "prop up the furniture if [the master] so wishes it" thinks so highly of Calpernia, a common slave.  More stuff like that could have added dimension to him.

Side with the templars, and do "Under Her Skin," and eventually a war table mission to unlock it will come up.  If you did it, you can

You do realize we asked to get choice and consequence missions. People requested it after witcher 2 branching system. I swear sometimes i feel bio got the worst fans as no matter what they do even if fans asked them for it they get shafted.

On one hand I see where you're coming from.  But on the other hand, I think what people wanted more of was a consequence from a choice they readily chose despite knowing a certain outcome could arise from it.  In other words, there was no logical link between knowing that if you chose to side with the Mages, you'd be cut off from a crucial quest that added depth to the main bad guy.

Instead, an example of choice and consequence in that situation is where maybe you face one of Corypheus' generals and the option is to kill them or they plead for you to save their life in return for information.  If you spare them, they tell you the location of the Shrine of Dumat.  If you kill them, you don't learn of its location.  At least in this case, you had advanced warning that you might miss out on something important if you choose one option over the other.

I feel really bad for Cory in the end, wanting help from Dumat and doubting Dumats very existence even though he was devout. "Why have you forsaken me Dumat!!" Should of been his last sentence.

I think we have plenty of time left, with us being in 9:41 Dragon only (which left 59/60 years before the end of this Age), but my guess is that after the end of the Dragon Age (ingame) Bioware would either put an end to the serie or rename it to place it one (or two) Age after the Dragon one. This way, when using the Keep, we would have some legends and stories from at least one hundred years into the past.

Imagine the things the world would tell about the HoF, Hawke or the Inquisitor once they have all passed away. They would be the mythical figures of the early Dragon Age for new players. And for old, it would be interesting to see what Thedas didn't understand about them and got wrong or exaggerated.

In the Redcliffe quest wasn't there a journal entry about Corypheus trying to get Alexius to turn back time to before the Breach? It seems events spiralled out of control and he isn't happy ruling a world in ruins.

Also it is ridiculous that content characterizing the antagonist would be locked behind an early game choice and be on an optional quest. This was desperately needed in the main story.

Agreed. I dragged my feet over a second playthrough just because Corypheus came across as such a boring, 2D bad guy in my initial pro-mage playthrough. Granted, I don't think he's any great shakes going pro-Templar either, but at least he has something going for him other than god-like villain #4,517.

I felt sorry for Cory at the end. I mean, he needed to be destroyed (well he had to to finish the game). But in the end, he was scared, abandoned by his faith and all alone.

I just finished this quest because I've heard so many good things about it, and I'm sad to say I was disappointed. Corypheus doesn't say anything in the crystals that he hasn't previously said during the attack at Haven - just expands on it a little, which I have trouble seeing as any significant character development or anything I would lament not having if playing on the mage side. You do get a little about Calpernia, but that's more backstory about her than him.

I don't mean to be argumentative, but I'm rather confused over comments I've seen here and other places about this being such a pivotal quest to understanding Corypheus. I personally didn't feel it added much of anything. I was also befuddled as to why he would record his thoughts and leave them around the shrine - an offering to Dumat, perhaps?

I don't know. To me, this quest just wasn't all that interesting or enlightening.
