So at the end of Origins, the Warden and Morrigan are the ones who end up "starcrossed lovers", while the Warden and any of the other LI's remain happily together.

Then you completely inverted it afterward. By Inquisition, it's the Warden and Morrigan who end up getting back together, while with Leliana, Zevran and Ailtar they apparently end up drifting apart and never seeing each other again.

Ouch. Gosh damn.

P.S, Ailstir still sucks rotten eggs.  :)

"You're the first woman I've ever spent the night with, and if I have my way you'll be the last." Bahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... nimrod.

In what way does the Warden not even appearing in Inquisition with Morrigan count as "getting back together"?

Also, Leliana straight-up says that after the events of the game are finished, that she plans on going back to the Warden and staying with him/her.

I suggest ignoring this one. Butterfly is a very well known Alistair troll.

Or if she's divine. She's going to change the rules so that she and the warden can be together

I may be missing something but leliana flat out says she will meet back up with the warden when everything is done. And I think if anyone complained that the divine was married to a dwarf (my warden is a dwarf) she would "persuade" them to stay quiet

I seem to recall reading a letter that my Warden and Zevran were traveling together.

Indeed. The Warden and Zevran are actually the only Origins couple that are physically together during Inquisition, so I guess it's actually the Zevranmancers that win.

Yeah, the warden's letter seems to imply that Zev is with him or her during Inquisition.

And I know with King Ali, the female Warden mentions her curing the calling so she will be with her King again.  I imagine it's pretty optimistic if they're both wardens, too.

It's Hawke who seems out of luck...

Alistair also says this (in fact his dialogue and Leliana's are exactly the same, if one or the other is romanced).

The thing that surprised me was how Morrigan actually ends up a good mother to the boy, even if the child was conceived outside of a relationship with the warden in question (Alistair or Loghain instead of the HoF).

I also liked (even if it was highly indiscreet) that Leli's introduction to the Imperial Court was as "Veteran of the Fifth Blight, Mistress to the "King of Ferelden."

Poor Anora, so much for discretion... :P

"The halls of the grand cathedral will run red with blood..." ;)

Seriously though, one thing seams to be for sure: The stories/characters starting off in origins (including the romances) are pretty much done post DAI.

This. If anything Zevran is still with the Warden. Leliana will join him if romanced, and so does Morrigan by the end of Inquisiton. Both of them repeatedly say so. Whats the problem now? Leliana even sticks with the romance if she becomes Divine, her writers already confirmed that. They handled the romances as best as they could, and did a fine job.

Where did you get 'never seeing eachother again' from, for...any of them? Leliana said she planned to go back to my Warden and never leave her again. Zevran already is with a romanced Warden. Alistair...well, I guess he could die which would be a bit of a hitch. But that's kinda a given... :S

Hawke is the one who's in limbo now.

How so? The game specifically states that Hawke's LI and surviving sibling join him at Weisshaupt if he survives. Varric himself will even join him when inquisition is over.

The epilogue. Went to Weishauppt. Weishauppt apparently lost contact.

Zevran is implied to still be with the Warden in DAI, and in DAA Leliana has already left to go see the divine, so presumably they haven't seen much of each other in over a decade, if you get the letter she sent which is bugged for the majority of people.

The letter if anyone is curious, and I was wrong, it was the Grand Cleric, not the divine.

I'm not referring to the epilogue slides, but the banter with Varric. After Adamant, Cassandra asks him if hawks LI will be joining him to which Varric says yes, and so will their sibling if they are alive. She asks him if he will join him, and he said not until corypheus is defeated and that Hawke wasn't going to be able to keep him away.

That wasn't the impression I got from the Leliana romance references. Warden was apparently with her when she met Dorothea again, and there was discussion between them before the Warden left on their quest with Leliana even wanting to join him/her, etc etc. Just from the way she talked about it I got the impression they still had fairly regular contact. All up to interpretation though, I suppose.

And yeah, the Awakening letter wasn't in reference to the Divine. Justinia was still a Revered Mother.

And given the fact that Hawke disappeared yet again, we have no idea what became of that. They could both be dead in a ditch now for all we know.

That's irrelevant, we were discussing the state of the character romances at the end of DAI. Hawke got the same treatment as the Warden when it came to that. And Hawke didn't disappear, they simply stopped hearing word from Weisshaupt.

Morrigan literally says what became of Hawke is unknown. Implies nobody knows where they are or what they're doing. That sounds a lot like a disappearance to me.

They stopped hearing word from Weishauppt. They stopped hearing word from Hawke. We don't know what happened to them or their love interest, if they ended up joining them. They're in indefinite limbo until we know what happened at Weishauppt.

Doesn't bother me too much because, well, my Hawke is dead now, but...still.
