Oh yeah, I remember now. But that is just a bit part. You can't interact with him and you certainly don't get the sense that something really bad is happening to the Order until after you commit.

I could never kill Alistair's mom (Fiona). Fiona's quite the tragic character in my opinion, it started with the alienage and subsequent rape -- I don't blame her for the rebellion. Unlike Uncle Tom character that is Vivienne, she didn't have the luxury of ****** her way to the top as an alienage elf.
So because a black person was fortunate enough to be discovered as a mage early in life, got sent to the Circle and worked her way into a position of power and lived a life of privilege due to said work she's an Uncle Tom... are you ****** kidding me. I get not liking Vivienne because of what she represents as an arrogant rich noble, but dam that's just uncalled for.
