I have zero problem purchasing a significantly updated expansion of tactical combat that would be more aligned with the complexity of DA:O for anywhere from $5.00 to $15.00.

You know, like with the ability to jump while in tac mode or the ability to hold a button to allow time to advance and take my finger off for it to stop.

The ability to just walk while in tac mode by holding a button.

I know this stuff is kind of blowing your mind right now but I really think these are good suggestions so hear me out.

Allow the camera to zoom out further and to free cam if needs be.

I'm enjoying all of these "make xyz DLC" threads.

People seem to think DLC and patches are game development magic wands. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I don't think advances in tactical combat are in this games future. All we can do is hope the next game (if there is one) returns to its roots.

You're probably better off downloading a fresh round of Origins mods and playing through that -- that's my plan in the near future.

I would buy Origins combat DLC.

That will just encourage them to make bad things and sell you DLC to do what they should have done in the first place.

I already played through Origins again since I beat Inquisition :(

Maybe it's time for some Mass Effect.

Is the OP complaining about the combat difficulty?

Play on nightmare. You NEED to use tactics for that.

OR, if you are commenting on the tactical menu and cam in general, then yes. I want the whole "programming" tactics back, ie "If Blackwall is surrounded by 3 or more enemies, use War Cry.

Want a game that works like origins?

Good scarp gamepad support (you know the same feature that some people in the PC community pestered bioware since origins came out) and maybe you will have a similar experience.

I would pay money for that so fast it would make your head spin. I hate DAi's combat currently. It's ruining what would otherwise be a great game.

Lol, no. If they tried to charge extra for that the internet would (rightly) explode.

No, it wouldn't "rightly explode". The internet would do precisely nothing save marvel over the fact that Inq got entirely new functionality.

Let's not mince words.. PC gamers, overwhelmingly, really like that whole "strategy" thing. They're the guys and gals that grew up with NeverWinter Nights, Baldur's Gate 2, etc etc.. They like turn based rpgs. This is why Divinity: Original Sin made such a huge splash despite being a relatively small indy game with some seriously whackadoo humor.

Adding such a system to Inq would require minimal coding, not a whole lot of testing and would open up a whole other market in many respects.

Most importantly it WOULD allow Game Devs to produce a game for consoles with the whole "But we're going to allow it to be tactical with the DLC" in the back of their minds.

So long as they keep it priced reasonably no one is going to complain especially loudly because everyone will dig the brand new functionality to the game.

It would require a lot of work unless what you really want is a better functioning tactical camera in the game, in which case we shouldn't have to pay extra money for that.

To make the game play more like Origins though? You'd have to rebalance virtually the entire game because the combat just isn't designed to be played that way.

Not interested - would rather buy some leek for a soup to spice things up.

I thought I already paid for a quality UI & AI...   didn't know we're going to have to pay for quality as attachments and add-ons.  I would be absolutely sickened if this did happen.

Not going to happen. If anything remotely happened it would be free through a game update.

II wish it had been in the game first, and I probably would cave in for such a DLC because the fact that it lacks a good tac cam and has zero circumstancial settings for tactics as opposed to previous games is one of the reasons I have yet to buy this game ON CONSOLE (sorry but I'm getting a bit tired of some "pure" PC gamer patronizing).
