Below games have left me utterly floored for one reason or another way back when they they were brand new and I was still  young. :(

Tie Fighter

World of Warcraft

Ultima Online

Baldur's Gate I

The Last of Us(ok,mostly added this just to feel less old. :l  ...Still an exceptional game though.)

I get it how the 10/10 thing is just an expression and all. Still I think it'd be worth talking about the following:

It is completely  useless to give some hard cold number value to your favorite games. It is either meaningless or misleading. When things are put in context etc, I've never been as impressed and excited about a  video game as I was when first laying hands on Ultima Online and WoW. Yet,if I were to produce some pseudo-objective score  for either, I'm sure it'd be like a weak 9 or a strong 8 due to stellar amount of bugs, connection issues and various other dysfunctionality. Does that number in any way capture how awesome I think the games were? Nop!

In a sense, I think Last of Us is almost perfect. I guess it took like 22 hours or so to beat the game. During these hours, I recall like 25 minutes worth of " aw, I wish they had done this particular thing differently/better.." I think it is remarkable and translates to something like 9.9191919/10 etc.

World of Warcraft suffered from massive amount of bugs, stability issues, lag issues when it came out. This wasn't stuff that got fixed in some day 7 patch etc. Nop, we speak of several months of Bliz struggling to respond to sheer popularity of their game.  If I were to give some number value to that experience, I'm not sure if it even began with " 8"  Yet I loved every second of it, consider it a better game than TLOU  and think of it even more fondly.

Given that I hate any notion of nummerical scores since they are about as accurate in summarizing complex opinions as competitive projectile vomiting -- I'll just list a few games I feel are second to none, in terms of pretty much anything

Persona 4 Golden & Persona 3 FES (Its lack of the female protagonist & few other upsides from the portable version is what makes Golden lean a bit ahead -- But they both pretty much outweigh each other)

Silent Hill 2

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty & Snake Eater

Jak 2 (No other Naughty Dog game could reach the quality of this one)

Knights of the Old Republic 2

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

Grim Fandango

Psychonauts

Thief 2

Saints Row 2

Hitman: Blood Money

Resident Evil Remake

Wind Waker

Arkham Asylum

Super Mario World (Never found the 3D Mario games as appealling as the 2D-ones -- they are okay though)

inFamous 2

Sly 2: Band of Thieves

Ratchet & Clank 3

Spyro: Year of the Dragon

Origins & Inquisition (They are honestly the most fun I've had with a BioWare game)

Monkey Island

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2

Valkyria Chronicles

Kingdom Hearts 2

Think that's about it for now, at least what I can think of at the moment..

I never did say what my 10/10 games were. That score to me would go to games I have played and enjoyed over any others, often sinking hours upon hours into the game and replaying it multiple times. I don't judge a game by its technical aspects so much as long as it's functional. So the list would go something like this:

Chrono Trigger

Chrono Cross

Final Fantasy VII

Pokemon RBY and GSC

Super Metroid

Zelda: A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess

Morrowind

Skyrim

Dragon Age: Origins

Knights of the Old Republic

Halo 1

Half-Life 2

Resident Evil 4

Harvest Moon 64

Ninja Gaiden

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

And many others actually. I couldn't possibly list them all. Again, 10/10 is a very relative score to me.

DA:O (was my first bioware game and the start for all other games)

Mass Effect series

Jade Empire & KoTOR 1+2 (i loved the deep story writing and like the companions were handled)

The longest journey

Monkey Island

Day of the Tentacle (the last 2 were my first point & click adventures. I played them together with my little sister and my uncles. It was a lot of fun)

Spyro the dragon (my first jump & run - i played full days as a little girl)

Tetris & Commander Keen (the first pc games i ever owned ;))

Resident Evil 4

Mass Effect 2

Red Dead Redemption

Battlefield Bad Company 2

Half Life 2

Those games are probably the best games I've ever played and do their "hook" incredibly well. I'd say they're 10/10, even tho their are technical issues with all of them.

Mass Effect 2

The Walking Dead

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

Morrowind

FFIX

KOTOR 2

The Witcher 2

DA:O

The Last of Us

Baldur's Gate 2

Evil Dead Fistfull of Boomstick

Zoo Tycoon

Jurassic Park Operation Genesis (love zoo games when you let the animals kill people.)

Medieval Total War 2

Rome Total War

To the Moon (even though it's like 3 hours long it's 1000x more worth than the sack of sh*t called 'Gone Home.')

M&B Warband

Deadly Premonition.

^^^^

I'm aware that not all of these games are "perfect." Hell, you could say none of them are. But this is a list that includes my personal tastes and biases towards gaming. This is why, Deadly Premonition makes it in the list. It's a terrible game actually, mechanics wise... but **** do I love it.

Edit:

VTM:B

NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer

Gothic 2

Risen

More edits:

Assassins Creed 2

Dino Crisis 2
