Clearly opinion based thread. What in your opinion is the very definition of a 10/10 game.

I feel most long lists in this thread feature mostly 9/10 games. But I have another 10/10 to add:

 

TES-III: Morrowind

 

When this appeared, - the feeling, - just wow!  I remember the moment my character was released from prison, the spine-tingling ambient music, and then the "Then What? - question", and the fantastic realization that I could do whatever. Both that and several other fantastic moments in Morrowind, I rate highest among my gaming experiences. You could say a lot is dated, today. But in many ways, I think later games have gone in wrong directions, even if the technology has been more polished. They should have focused on adding and improving other things, in relation to Morrowind.

 

The original Amiga-version of Rail Road Tycoon was also a fantastic game. Sadly, very few have experienced this, since all the various PC-versions are mostly crap.

 

Yet another game that has a lot of truly grand potential is Kerbal Space Program. But we haven't seen it finished yet. It has just recently entered it's first Beta phase. Me, I have +330 hours into the game nevertheless. Some of the most fascinating times I've had on the PC.

 

Yet another game that I think could reach 10/10 status, would be DA:4, 

 

 

P.S. Speaking of great games, I'm feeling an itch to play 'Master of Orion 2' again. Does anyone know if there is a version that works on a modern PC yet?

Ride To Hell Retribution. 10/10 Some of the best voice acting imaginable. wonderful writing. Controls always function properly. Almost every aspect of the game is great. Best Story Ever. Also fully clothed secks ftw.

I'm probably forgetting a few. If I had to name only one game that was my top of all time, it would be Walking Dead Season 1. Talk about emotional, gut wrenching storytelling. I've never been more emotionally impacted by a game than I have been by Telltale games.

Mass Effect 3 would be on here if it wasn't for the storyline pulling it down, specifically, the ending didn't tie to the war effort and the stupid forced MP component.
