To be fair. The dialog with and about Krim was just really weird and it confused the hell outta me.
Maybe it was just cause i was only paying half attention, but it was kinda like going around in circles?.
I didn't perceive it that way.

He didn't technically have it shoved down his throat, just shoved in his face
Either way they're upset because someone shoved a hypothetically gay penis somewhere around their mouths, throats, faces. lmfao

Might just because it's the first time it was brought up in the game. Even though we already have characters like Aveline and Cassandra and you just bring that up in dialog outta nowhere. it was just kinda like, wait what?. it seemed random in my opinion.

It was enjoyable. My main complaints other than bugs:
removal of the advanced style companion tactics from previous games
removal of the duplication exploit
the strange difficulty shift after you get to Skyhold
::theatrical, "Connor-controlling-Teagan" voice:: Because surely no-o-o-o-o-o-o-obody has ever shoved anything heterosexual down our throats! N-o-o-o-o-o-o! NEVER-R-R!
::cough::

I wonder where the OP was for these characters so that he/she could scream: "WE GET IT! YOU'RE HERE TO TITILLATE A BUNCHA DUDES ON THEIR COUCHES!" I am willing to bet money this was never screamed/posted to a forum/whined about.
I don't quite understand your argument here? Are you trying to call to attention that there are characters created just for the sake of boobs/ass?
If that's the case, I'd agree to your post but I will say that I felt Krem was just shoved in just to include a transgered character. I liked Krem's personality honestly and the trading jokes with IB part, otherwise.. It felt like they were reaching with HIM.
well the difference is significant. It's like if two women are talking about an outfit it's ok to say it look kinda horish, but it's considered rude to just go for it and say you look like a hore. Same analogy is telling someone that s/he is acting idiotic or saying that s/he is an idiot.
On the other hand after I read some other posts from that player and based on that s/he called me a mate altho we never spoke (discussed) before suggest we're dealing with the member of younger half of player base.
Wrong again mate. Quite old, in fact, plus kids. But thanks for the compliment! In case you didn't know, many peoples actually call other people friendly nicknames. Mate is one of them, Australian mainly, but you'll hear it from the Brits too... bloke, dude, chick, chickadee, birdie, flower, you name it, lots of things. Now, thing is this: Do you WANT to feel offended, like that other bloke up there, by something that wasn't intended offensively, or not? The choice is yours. Be that as it may, the intent doesn't change, regardless. Moreover, maybe it is I that should be feeling insulted by people jumping their effing guns all around and making assumptions about me and about what I said, that we are both rotten and mal-intended. Right mate? Not that I will, but maybe I should. Food for thought.

May I just ask here, so what if Krem was intentionally put in the game to include a transgender individual? The Qunari was also put in intentionally to include a Qunari, the elven apostate to include an elven apostate, the dwarf to include... well, Varric, ok, but you get the argument.
Krem's addition didn't feel out of place, I saw it more as fleshing him out well to make the Qunari alliance choice harder. But instead of a usual story, he has one a little bit more diversified (I was about to say interesting, but maybe not everyone found Krem's story interesting).

Fair point but I will ask -- Why not go further with Krem? I was actually disappointed we didn't see more of Krem. He was funny, but after the IB quests we don't see more of him. You could easily make that argument with so many.
I had a faulty reasoning for it. Qunari were put in just for the sake of having Qunari (even if they are more humanized in looks.. and it didn't translate well to design imo..)
But with Krem, it's been shown in documents that Krem was there for a 'message'. A symbol of sorts (which is good!), I just wanted a little more from that character.

I'm saying this: A video game company will insert a number of things into a game just for the sake of ::fart noise::. This includes homosexuality, transgendered characters, and half naked women. It also includes a wide array of other special snowflakes that are tossed into the mix of games for the sake of high ratings/reviews/popularity/breaking the mold/shock value/entertainment/money.
I've seen plenty of folks get all "giant pissy pants" when someone says, "I DO NOT LIKE THIS HALF NUDE FEMALE IT IS OFFENSIVE." Plenty of folks get all mad at the people who complain about that. They say things like "tough" and "deal with it" and "that's the business" and so forth. And you know what... to an extent... they're right.
But then it seems that most of those same people who say "tough" and "deal with it" and "that's the business" will turn around and p*ss out the same song and dance when THEY are suddenly uncomfortable with things like trans or gay characters.
"How DARE they shove this stuff down my throat! I GET IT. GAY AND TRANS IS A THING. I AM SECRETLY OFFENDED BECAUSE IT IS SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT."
Well....
tough.
deal with it.
that's the business.
-That is the argument.

Is always funny coming from straight guys who complain alot about "the gay agenda" they really seem obsessed with other mens genitals
Damn gay agenda - it's always shoving a penis down someone's proverbial throat.
Your thoughts on that "objectification thread?" i'm very curious.

Artichoke tried, Greywinter tried and I've tried to tell you this people.
The gay agenda is real and Bioware is shoving it down our throats.
I hope it tastes sexy.

Why it's finger licking good.

Id say the most recent case of hypocrisy is how people reacted about the romances between ME3 & DA:I, when straight women complained about potentially having 0 straight options they were ridiculed & told to STFO, that it was BW's choice. But then alot of the same people then complained repeatedly (& still do tbh) that it was unfair that straight male characters didn't have more options & whined about female human & elf PC's having a extra 2 race gated choices, but isn't that BW's choice too? i wonder what suddenly made it different ![]()

Lol. Gee I dunno. Entitlement maybe? Heehee

Yeah, is perfectly fine for M!Shep to have a literal harem of women to choose from but its suddenly outrageous for a female inquisitor to have 2 extra choices & thats only if playing as a elf
I was done with dragon age after 2, I hated 2. I bought into their lies about inquisition though, decided to give them another chance to redeem themselves.
Anyway, this is the last bioware game I ever purchase. Current game I'm looking forward to is sword coast legends, made by the guy who directed dragon age origins. Apparently without this one person behind the wheel over at bioware, it's like they're all a bunch of toddlers barely able to function. This game along with dragon age 2 are pathetic rpg's. It's safe to say bioware currently consists of a bunch of talentless console lovers. They couldn't even visually interpret what the story portrays itself as in inquisition properly. You don't see any big battles taking place or even participate in one once in this crappy game unless its a pre-rendered cutscene.
Most of my real guy friends outside the idiocy of these forums thought the romance options were completely fair. The bulk of them referenced ME and how DAI balanced it out. My point being is that I think most guys take no issue with this, but the select few whiners hide behind their computer screens on the BSN. Sadly, we see this and it feels so magnified that we think there's an overload of self entitled males. But truthfully it's a handful of computer geeks who figured out the forums.bioware.com URL and used it as a soapbox for all their repressed nastiness...
I'd ask you not to categorize me in the same category as the rest of the 'idiocy' when I complained about the game's female options. I argued about the romance tropes being relatively similar to each other. The appearances were secondary for me. I was looking forward to Cassandra after playing da2. My issue isn't a number based "I have only two options" versus the six females have in DAI. But I am just one of many who voiced their opinions ![]()

I know, I'm so sick of all these straight relationships. Everywhere I turn in this game, someone guy is mourning his wife, or is a woman that enjoyed sex with Iron Bull. They have to get all that heterosexuality into their religion too. Even the story of Andraste has to have this unnecessary story arc with her husband (ew) and how he betrayed her. We get it, she was straight. I don't need to be reminded of that all over the place. I mean, that's great for straight people, but they should really keep all of this talk in the bedroom. I don't need to hear about all the husbands and wives of straight folks. That means I'd have to think about two straight people together. BioWare is forcing me to do that and they're putting their agenda in my face!
I also know some straight people, but I didn't ask for their agenda to be shoved into my face every 3 minutes of the game.
If you don't get the scathing sarcasm, then the post wasn't for you.
I'm honestly surprised Bioware attracts the people who complains about things they had in their games for quite awhile
