Wow I'm surprised you didnt say COD.
If I said that I'd be oversimplying things or simply lying. Mass Effect doesn't carry anything beyond countless sections of chest-high-wall-pop-up-shooting-gallery, ala games like Uncharted or Gears, with the occasional chance to go back to the Normandy to play with your train set. Sure, that was great back in 2007, quite inovative, but you gotta have something else.. although to be fair, in terms of shooters I've never found cover-based-ones to be engaging at all. Half Life 2, BioShock, Metro, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Condemned were shooters I liked, which didn't need that gimmick mechanic. To summarize: I did not find it fun, hence I disliked the sequels and didn't overly care about the franchise beyond ME1.
I supported Bioware for the first two games. Dragon Age Origins was a massive success why are they moving away from that?
it took me litterally 100 hours to get to the stage I'm at now but thats not why I'm complaining. the massive game thing is always good. Exploring is always good.
They stood there and told me enemies didn't level scale. BULLSHIT. Of course they do. I was level 11 and so were they I came back a few levels later and they are level 17 same as me. The only thing I didnt see scaling were the rifts and I'm not even sure about that one. Didnt you all yell at bioware about level scaling? yeah seems they didnt pay attention to you either.
The level scaling hasn't happened to me. Not sure why it happened to you, really. If you want my opinion then I'll say that the things I liked about Origins is back in this game, and thus I've been spending a lot of time with it. I'm surprised you managed to stay hooked as long as you did before realizing you weren't having fun. It's a bit odd if I'm honest. It's ultimately your opinion though. Shame it isn't for you
