Well given your entitled attitude, you won't be missed. But I think we both know you will be back. No one who actually gives up on a franchise is going to make a grande statement about it in hopes of gaining attention. That's all you want.

And as a straight person myself, I had no issue with Dorian or Krem. What, are we supposed to pretend that only heterosexual people exist in the world? You act as if Bioware is throwing it in your face, there was no repeat of DA2 where anders always hit on a male hawke. Dorian brings up his orientation as part of his quest in a way that made sense for the story. Krem, you have to actually seek out that information. Get over it. Furthermore this content is 100% avoidable.

I long for the days people could criticize games without someone playing the entitled card. He spent his money he's allowed to have his say. You don't like it, too bad.

Well that's a shame, OP. I personally thought it is vastly better than any of the games BioWare have been ditching out for a long while. Still not done with it which says a lot too. Alongside Origins it's among those BioWare games I've been having a lot of fun with. I hope you can find some fun with the pop-up-shooting-chest-high-wall-gallery that is Mass Effect then :)

You poor thing, so much fear to accept change. I guess you still have the same style you had 10-20 years ago.

My heart goes out to you as this is an ever changing world we live in. It saddens me when you cannot appreciate all the work that went into the space and how many times you can actually play through with finding new things to explore.

I did 3 play through's with 280 hours logged into saves before the patch 2 corrupted them and made me Rage.

But I am kinda glad they did because it forced me to start a new character and this time I am doing a 100% completion and I must say its SOOO DAMN GOOD!.

I am still finding new area's and quest and Items that i missed each play through. Just keeps continuing to amazing me.

I love the new Dragon Age, the More I play it the More I enjoy it. I am looking forward to all of the DLC and new patches that fix and add content/bugs.

Thanks Bioware, we seem to have a Love hate relationship but it's what keeps this game exciting for me. Every time I start to hate you for one of the bugs or things about the game, you get me to love you again with the Pleasant Surprises :)

Ok first of all sunshine I'm 33 ok? I understand change is a good thing. However change is only good when it makes things better. I love the artwork and the ambience but it's almost like they went out of their way to annoy people. The amount of times I got caught on a rock travelling from A to B ot tripped over a submerged branch. I mean why? How does that help anything or make anything better? it doesn't.

The whole climbing ladders crap where my party point blank refused to follow me even though they had done so umpteen times before. The timed fights with the envy demon the timed **** with the orlesian ball. Why? It was completely needless. Stuck in there just because they could.

The whole areas respawning with enemies even though they could have done any number of things to prevent that. The ENDLESS requisition missions that did absolutely nothing to further the cause and then I move to Skyhold only to find I can actually buy influence!

Oh and lets not forget the absolute tirade of utter useless shite that kept cropping up like the magical "ferelden sword" I picked up about 90 of those fuckers. The thing that made me laugh about that was there was more money in those boxes than the items combined.

In short this game was Kingdoms of Amalur 2. Because it played exactly the same way.

Somewhere between Dragon's Dogma, Kingdoms of Amalur, Skyrim, DA:O and DA2, you've got Inquisition.

Barring a few issues, I'm entirely cool with that.

Wow I'm surprised you didnt say COD. I supported Bioware for the first two games. Dragon Age Origins was a massive success why are they moving away from that?

it took me litterally 100 hours to get to the stage I'm at now but thats not why I'm complaining. the massive game thing is always good. Exploring is always good.

They stood there and told me enemies didn't level scale. BULLSHIT. Of course they do. I was level 11 and so were they I came back a few levels later and they are level 17 same as me. The only thing I didnt see scaling were the rifts and I'm not even sure about that one. Didnt you all yell at bioware about level scaling? yeah seems they didnt pay attention to you either.

Hey now...you had me till you said Kingdoms of Amalur...lol

Kingdoms had amazing character customization, you could make your character almost anything you wanted....and it had pretty decent combat as well.

If anything Kingdoms is on my most underrated games lists. Not because it was some absolutely amazing game, just that it was underrated for what it was. A pretty good game. Overall. lol

I thought you were done the last time you made your account, Jimbo.  Or was it the time before that?   Oh well, have fun out there with other games.  Sorry that BioWare let you down.  I was a Square fan for many years, so I feel your pain.

Good luck and try to enjoy your hobby.

Wow I'm surprised you didnt say COD.

If I said that I'd be oversimplying things or simply lying. Mass Effect doesn't carry anything beyond countless sections of chest-high-wall-pop-up-shooting-gallery, ala games like Uncharted or Gears, with the occasional chance to go back to the Normandy to play with your train set. Sure, that was great back in 2007, quite inovative, but you gotta have something else.. although to be fair, in terms of shooters I've never found cover-based-ones to be engaging at all. Half Life 2, BioShock, Metro, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Condemned were shooters I liked, which didn't need that gimmick mechanic. To summarize: I did not find it fun, hence I disliked the sequels and didn't overly care about the franchise beyond ME1.

The level scaling hasn't happened to me. Not sure why it happened to you, really. If you want my opinion then I'll say that the things I liked about Origins is back in this game, and thus I've been spending a lot of time with it. I'm surprised you managed to stay hooked as long as you did before realizing you weren't having fun. It's a bit odd if I'm honest. It's ultimately your opinion though. Shame it isn't for you :)

I hear you OP.  I am playing this game as a game in it's own right, as there is no way it resembles a dragon age game for me.  It just does not have the dragon age feel what so ever.  I think we can safely say the dragon age came to a end with DA2 and there is no reason to include the words 'dragon age' to Bioware's future titles.

I mean DAI isn't all that bad if you think of it as a wanna-be-mmo like Kingdom's of Amalur, and wipe dragon age completely from your mind to avoid disappointment..

Respawning enemies is a problem? So....one you killed a group of thugs in an area (open world) that area should forever be desolate? Clearly, Open World RPG is not for you.

Bye then.

Respawning enemies which I hate. Stupid overpowered enemies and area gating.

Everspawning trashmobs having godlike ability to never die killed the fun in my case too.

I still finished the game, but till Bioware removes this idiocy from the game or a modder makes norespawn mod, I'm not replaying it. And I would love to try other choices in the game. But I'm not a masochist.

Gothic and Risen games say hi.

Work a bit on your openworld definition. Openworld is NOT = MMOish endless respawns.

I remember arguing with one DM that my really smart Elf magic user should be able to figure out a puzzle solution that because his intelligence exceeded mine. I didn't win that argument.

Arguing with the GM only makes him/her more determined to make life...interesting for your character.

you made some good points.  It's a joke we literally pay $60 to be beta testers for them.  That practice needs to change or gamers need to be compensated.

I do find it curious that you like DA2 and not this game.  I'm not saying this is the most amazing game I have ever played, but from what I've played its 10x better than DA2.

He's quitting because the game doesn't hand hold him.

He's quitting because he doesn't like a gay character.

He's quitting because he doesn't like a trans character.

I don't think we're losing anything.

It's gone I'm afraid... Voice any kind of dissatisfaction and you are entitled.

It is just a buzzword people wheel out to try and stamp out any criticism, for reasons beyond me.

Entitled is a buzzword to protect developers from valid critisicm.

Valid criticism? Like not wanting there to be gay people in a video game because you don't agree with that lifestyle? Or his inability to learn how to play the game without bioware taking his hand every step of the way? You have an interesting interpretation of valid criticism.

It's gone I'm afraid... Voice any kind of dissatisfaction and you are entitled.

It is just a buzzword people wheel out to try and stamp out any criticism, for reasons beyond me.

And buzzword is a term you use in a sad attempt to stamp out the proper and justifiable use of the term entitlement.
