Anita Blake! Where have you been all of my life!

Hey you know what's awesome? Having well written three dimensional characters and interactions.

In real life, say you're interested in someone. They're attractive and their personality draws you in...so you mention it, you try to flirt...and lo and behold they aren't interested in return. They shut you down and life goes on.

There's no giant sign on people's foreheads that says "I only like dudes, I only sleep around for power, I don't like Dwarves" on people's heads in real life. I for one enjoy the fact that my character doesn't know everything. She might be into Cassandra only to find out that unfortunately Cass likes the sausage only.

That's OKAY!

Dorian being gay wasn't okay with you? Or was it that he was open about it and honest? Yes, it matters for people other than romance options to know he's gay. It's a part of who he is. Sexuality is not the defining characteristic of a person but it is one small trait that makes up the whole. If you've got a gay friend do you pretend they aren't gay or hope they don't mention it to you just because you don't want to bang them?

Also, Krem was a brilliantly written character who reflects real life.

Who cares if it made you uncomfortable. Guess what, there are Krems all over the world, all over your town, all over your school, work, or social spots. There might even be Krems in your family. It doesn't matter if they make you uncomfortable, they aren't going away. Turning gamers on to the reality of that situation is a brilliant thing for Bioware to have done. It opens up a realm of discussion and hopefully can change the way some people think and feel about gender identity. To me, any medium that allows for that dialogue to begin is helping towards an endgoal of a more accepting world for everyone.

Let me guess, the ability to have an adam's apple or facial hair on your female characters bothered you too? Perhaps the fact that there were several prominent black characters was disturbing to you?

And that's just the social aspects you touched on.

In regards to the rest of the game if it wasn't your cup of tea then you could have put it down and gone on with life instead of posting a long rant about it. What was the goal of that? Yelling at the developers for creating the game they wanted to make? Guess what, that's their choice not yours. Trying to sway people onto your side? Guess what, gamers will like what they like and that's ALSO not your choice. Fishing for the "Here here!" and "This game sucks, you're right!" Comments? Well congratulations, you're going to get them because people are too ignorant to just stop playing and get over it instead of trying to make the rest of the community miserable.

I think the game is great. But there are some problems fans do not notice because they are fans ofcourse, otherwise they would not be here playing. First thing, I dislike the old trivial dialogues about "mages and templars", all the time everywhere it is the same crap "let us discuss mages and templars". So, I am glad they included stuff about the life in Orlais for a change and the funny looking nobles. I wish there was more variety in the game. ... I wish it was not always the same. I started to feel this problem with "mages and templars" in the second part of DA II, they overdiscussed it there , too. Otherwise, I do not know what to say, I hate the hair designs in this game... But as a whole it is a great game and I would never abandon it.

Of course not. Don't be silly.

This is my cue to put you on my ignore list. You're a waste of time.

Agreed.  That made me cringe.  Once Krem's status as trans is out in the open and all is said and done, I'm still asking rude, idiotic questions?

I can only think of that question making sense if the Inquisitor is asking IB about Krem's status under the Qun.

As there is was already a pretty long thread about it elsewhere....

you know about krem and the fact he is transgender only if you care about to see all the information, and dorian, really?? you think he says that he is gay all the time?? when?? the only time he say that is during HIS personal quest

There was that an opportunity also to ask him if he was in a relationship with Alexei.  But otherwise yeah, that';sit, unless you flirt with him

and obviously you don't whine about morrigan or vivienne that have their boobs out all the time -.- (thing that i really appreciate BTW),

Well, Vivienne you can at least exert a little control over what she wears into combat.

I was a little bummed Morrigan was still wearing her swamp witch outfit from ten years ago.  But at least she's wearing a proper bra now ;)

and six?? six days to learn how to use a skill?? and there are only 3 way to use a skill: AOE (everyone know how to use it), tap one time or keep pressed the button is not hard, not hard at all.

Hey, it took me an embarassing amount of time to figure out how to make a rune, so I have some sympathy here.

Jimbo Gee, I share your sentiments. However, what really ticked me off was the blatant SJW and Homosexual Agenda pandering. I mean, hello? Most of your market are heterosexual dudes. And you're shoving stuff they don't like in their faces. Repeatedly.

Why pander to a mere 3% of the population when the vast majority just want an awesome RPG that focuses on fun and not on sexuality?

Ultima, it is being shoved into our faces. It's just that the people who accept it don't mind because they like it in the first place.

It's not about ignoring an aspect (which is still a minority) of reality. It's about being genuine and casual—the opposite of being blatant (which is oftentimes rude.) Many people have forgotten what courteous means.

While i'm not a particular fan of DA2 and DAI, the things the OP is whining over and the way it's being blown off is making me nauseous.

OP a word of advice your best to keep your criticism of the game to your family and friends as from my experience posting complaints about anything that Bioware does will have the fanboys/fangirls coming out in force as they will defend/excuse anything that Bioware does.

Nice. Once again someone makes a post about why they didn't like the game, and INSTANTLY the fanboys swoop in to troll him. Good job BSN, good job. Keep up the standards.

To the OP: I agree with you. Just to say that, nothing else. And you have the right to make a post and complain, same as other people have the right to make a post about a trillion other things. You don't have to like a game you don't like, simple as that, and I couldn't care less who's made it and who's released it. If you don't like it, then you don't like it, this is the FEEDBACK forum, feel free to say it, and disregard all the haters.

Just wait for it, more people to come, insult the OP for having a negative opinion, and add nothing to the conversation other then, "tough". At least it'll be an opportunity to add more people to the ignore.

(to poster above)

Yeah, I don't quite agree with that part. I'm far more in the other aspects of the game that I found poor in design.

further to add:  Yeah it's tough to read that but I think it should be on the viewers of his comment for that part, not completely dogpile his entire postbecause of it.

1. Was this really worth digging up two months after the last post in the thread? You're a better necromancer than Dorian!

2. I suppose you have some evidence that most of the audience for Dragon Age is heterosexual men AND that most of those heterosexual men have a problem with the ten minutes or so of LGBT content in a game that can take more than a hundred hours to complete? (Assuming you don't voluntarily pursue a same-sex romance, which I'm assuming you wouldn't if you disapproved of them.) I would assume that the vast majority of people just ignore it if they're not interested.

3. You're assuming that only LGB players appreciate the LGB content. This is not true.

(Hey, someone has to keep banging their head on this particular wall, it might as well be me.)

There's a respawn rate in this game, but it's slower than we think. If the maps were completely empty, it would feel like the world is about to collapse. The programming team probably wanted to make sure that there would be at least something to kill for the crafting parts of the game and some sidequests.

BS... everyone knows that respawning enemies are but a cheap trick to make you spent more time with already made content rather then make more areas so if you're constantly bugged by the same bandits (which are pretty stupid coming back to same location every time) it takes you at least twice as long to "clear" the area...

So no one is allowed to disagree with that opinion without being called a troll and/or a fanboy?

Seems fair.

Mate, 16,000+ posts more than earns him the "fanboy" badge. More like the "Bioware apologist" badge, but that's none of my business anyway, lol. Who am I to judge how people hit it off, really, each to their own. :P

Telling someone to shove the f... off because they don't like the game doesn't precisely cut it as "disagreeing with an opinion". I disagree with people all the time, I rarely tell the to shove off or whatever else rude shite, unless they are annoying and repetitive. Because this isn't really disagreeing, it's being rude and insulting. But I think you already know this fanboy :)

I did say that I hadn't read the entire thread. Kindly stop addressing me, I thought I had made that rather plain in the other thread that I have no desire to further converse with you. I'm not going to say it again, really. So please respect my wishes.

Alright, thanks, saw it. Tbh with you I rather support the LGBT community when they're cool like my friend Honorable_Bigot over here, but I've got no idea what in the world SJW means. Must be an American thing. In any case, yeah, the comment was biased and indirectly insulting, and it's the typical illusionary argument you get from teenage gamer boys with pimples "all der audienz iz us men, why u not give big boobs cassandra and u give dorian bigus dickus? no fair!!!"

Meh. Just disregard. [besides, I think he's just a troll really, only 3 posts and he contradicts himself in the same sentence. he says the game is for heterosexual males who don't like sexuality, wait, what?!]

This is my cue to put you on my ignore list. You're a waste of time.

So now I'm a fanboy and a BioWare apologist?

You just basically call people names the second they say something you don't like, I take it?

Telling someone to shove the f... off because they don't like the game doesn't precisely cut it as "disagreeing with an opinion".

I didn't see anyone say "shove off." And plenty of people were polite when sharing their opinion.

I don't think I'll take advice about what is rude or insulting from someone who calls people names for not openly agreeing with him. I haven't even shared my opinion on any of this, I was merely pointing out your hypocrisy.
