It baffles me that so many people don't understand there is a correlation between lots and lots of people owning guns, and lots and lots of people getting shot...
On Topic- Though my thoughts do align on the matter I don't feel mages are at all like guns, I don't think the comparison fits at all.
A. There's actually not.
B. If guns were gone, those same people would just be beaten or stabbed to death instead of shot.

As we all know, if you're a cop, you're a violent, racist murderer who is just looking for an excuse to kill people. I should know, I've been watching the news. The totally unbiased, not at all headline-altering-for-views-and-money news. Who else can I trust if not "let's spend a full week talking about that crashed Malaysian airplane when there's actual news we could be reporting on" CNN and "Mass Effect is literally porn" Fox?

I can't give you a numbers because apparently the US government doesn't even keep a record of how many people their police forces execute.
What I do know is that police in other developed countries don't do things like murdering 12yo children, point guns at people for fun (they'd be in huge trouble), or shoot 90 bullets at an unarmed man... in fact, German police used only 85 bullets in 2011 (we are talking about a +80 million country here).
You can try to twist it all you want, add feelings, muh "freedom" all that jazz, the numbers don't lie.
