I've got a character at level 39 who has beat the game and with whom I've started a new game + with and Mass Effect 2 does not import it at all! I've verified that it is in the Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect folder AND IT IS!!! What's going on?
My fear is that my copy of ME1 is from Steam and ME2 is not. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
PC Mass Effect 1 Character NOT IMPORTING!

just something to check but from reading about the imports it seems that u have to import from the AUTOSAVE made after u beat saren at the end of the game. so if u restarted a game u have to use the older one or beat the game a 2nd time and import from there and not from mid game. thats my understanding i may be wrong

I just did that and it still does not show up in the Character Import screen. Any other suggestions? Bioware? Where are you?...

proably not help but have u tried to load a save from the last part of the game and rebeat the game then load it into me2? i think i read that worked for some ppl

i am having the same issue. everytime i ty to import me1 shepsrd me2 keeps tellin me to go to configuration utility to make sure my character is saved in the proper place. but i dont know how to do that. HELP PLZ
