seriously, i made a rogue first, spent 80 hours on him and my PS4 died mid play so i had to swap out PS4s and start over again, (which this game is already trying my patience for playing over and over....)

but on that playthrough i had NO issue whatsoever getting the three tokens to unlock the assassin spec!!!

now with my new character i made when i installed DAI on my new PS4, i CANNOT find the 3rd token.

i have seen many different theories on how to try this all over the web.

some say parts of the hinterlands, some saw the western approach, others say the Dales...

please can someone from bioware explain this issue?????

is it a bug, or is it a luck thing that i should just have patience with until it drops?

because the way its explained in the quest log it explains that it is three VERY specific areas of Crestwood and i remember the 1st playthrough finding three named enemies in each spot NO PROBLEM.

now i cant find them all.

BIOWARE, whats the deal? its really ruining my current playthrough, i have never struggled so much to enjoy a bioware game... just between multiple characters, game bugs, bad luck w/ my PS4 and my personal issues with the game//gameplay, man.

Read the jouranl entry. Crestwood is the place to go.

It might be the same problem I had with the Rift spec in that it's some very specific mobs and I had to go online to find their very specific location because I kept murdering guys who were Rifters in all but name.

I know it is a bother but have you tried looking online for guidence videos on where to find the mobs?

Drops are random everyone's experience is going to be different which is why you're seeing so many different locations. I spent 22 hours looking for venatori tomes myself so good luck i feel your pain.

The Ventori tomes should have a 100% drop-rate if you find the Rifters who are at very specific locations, ZipZap. The other mobs have a very tiny chance of dropping one.

the reason i'm confused is that my first play through i found found each specific NAMED enemy in the spots they were suppose to be in, in respect to the quest log.

the 3 exact areas being "the black fens", "the flats" and "the east hills".

each site had a named elite enemy that dropped the item in one fight each time. it just seems too specific 1 time to have changed to "just keep trying and maybe you will get lucky".

if its a luck thing then i'm ok with that, but i have a feeling it's a bug and if it is i just would love to know so i'm not wasting my time like i have the last two nights trying to figure this out.

because if you are not familiar with running a rogue and dealing with the Crestwood quest to fix the dam then you might not understand the depth of the sordid ordeal we poor rogues must live with... (sniff)
