Qunari have little to no armor appearances. Not sure how anyone has missed it. And many armors on them show up as the pajamas.

Ya i have more armor and weapins up overall, and the pajamas thing i would mark up as a bug or a glitch, not something they need to add to the game. but the thought of a big bad qunari in pajamas is a funny thought

How about adding "fix the game so it doesn't play like ****" to the list? B)

Shadownian, you wrote:

„I want to compile an actual list of things that need to be done to the game that should have been done before launch.“

Here is my input for you …

What makes the game unplayable for me:

(Even though I like many things about Inquisition that are truly great ...)

Skills. There are not enough skills or skill trees in general. Period! Especially for mages.
(All the complexity and variety is gone! This is no RPG any more!)

Specializations. There are not enough specializations for the classes. Period!
Also I need the freedom to give to the party members the specialization I want them to have. (But that will not happen - right Mr. Laidlaw?!)
(All the complexity and variety is gone! This is no RPG any more!)

Attackbutton. I want an option in the options section to be able to use the old auto-attack system from DA:O. Period!

It was much more precise and it is necessary for tactical combat. No way around this …
(Holding down an attack button for a whole fight is maddening. This is button mashing ... truly game-breaking bs!)

Tactical-cam. It needs to stay put where I have my cursor instead of wandering around.
An option to change the behavior of the camera is needed in the options section! The same goes for the „play-functionality“.

I want to be able to pause and un-pause - not hold a button down when in tactical-view.

And the camera should be freely adjustable.
(The camera is a disaster. It does not work - THE END! It makes tactics a chore when it should make tactics fun!)

Tactics. I need to be able to setup tactics much more precisely.
(The way it is now is extremely unsatisfying and jokingly bad!)

Combat control. I need to be able to access all of the skills and issue other orders to my liking (from the radial menu / on console) like usual.
(This is no RPG combat any longer. It’s „God of War“-gameplay. This is a game-breaker!)

(Since these were my main points, I will not say anything about all the other really strange things I have encountered during my playthrough. Because everything else is secondary!)

Laidlaw and accomplices cut out so many beloved systems and mechanics … just to leave us with an extremely dumbed down button-mashing mess that made tactics and tactical combat impossible all the way around.

I know there are people who enjoy the game like it is. But these people are braindead - okay!

I play on console and it is just as bad as it is on the PC-side!

I have no hope for the future of the DA franchise any longer - but I wanted to help with this anyway …
I am a human being and a fan - hope dies last!

Good luck to all of you guys!

Hello shadownian!

Thank you very much for making this thread and everything you do here!

You mentioned that we need more votes … Why don’t you write a posting that has all your polls on it and duplicate it in many existing threads all over the forums?! Also, you can put a link or the polls themselves in your signature. I did something similar with my signature. This thread needs to be accessable from all over the forum! You need more views.

Anyway ...

I hope you are successful with this endeavor.

Take care!

An auto-attack button would be nice also an auto-loot button that lets me click on loot several feet away and have my inquisitor walk over and retrieve whatever the loot is, I'm really getting sick of having to manually get close enough especially as sometimes I can't find an easy way to the hill the loot or object is on and once I'm nearly there companions somehow find their way there anyhow. Just let me auto-loot again please.

In your poll on healing magic I would have liked a yes bring it back whether DAO style or specialisation cause I don't care how it's brought back I just want it to line up with the lore that healing magic exists and is used since Mother Giselle can talk a soldier into letting a mage heal them. It's still there in the lore so I'd like it available and it allows more options for the kind of mage you play.

I agree with your list really and while some things are more important for me than others I think all of them are worth examining. Regarding mage abilities/spells I'd like to see other trees referenced even though I've always been partial to elemental spells, because I like being able to mix different trees for effects and because it leads to more ways to play mages. Having said that the limit on spells you can access during the game is frustrating because if I pick a spell I want to be able to use it so remove the 8 slot limit please.

I did post the polls in social media, but ill look into some of the other forums and see about making a few more threads in different areas. Hopefully we will get more responses. Maybe even enough that Bioware takes notice...lol

Personally Bioware has our best interest at heart so I expect a lot of this to happen depending on what they can actually get done in due time, what I simply want is dual-wield warrior like in DAO. It would just take some minor rigging from there lead animator and I already figured a few skills they could get it to work with without needing to add a new skill tree for warrior but then again there would need to be a few new skills in general too.

Shoulders for male elves. Really. It isn't just Lord Surinen that is not playing an elf over this you know. Apparently there are issues with the Dwarves and Qunari models too, so basically fix everyone who isn't human so we can enjoy the game please.

Storage. For the love of god give me a chest! I may not like playing a human but my dude has a lot of stuff and no where in his dirty big bedroom in Skyhold to stash anything. That room up the ladder? Walk in robe. I mean it. :)

I'd ask for in quest companion interaction but I am trying to be realistic. (Though why it has been removed I'll never know)

Did I mention elf shoulders?

Very good list so far!

Something that I am not sure was mentioned, is melee combat for mages, like we had in DA2. After having experienced the very enjoyable mage class from DA2, it seems silly that they decided to remove the ability for mages to go into melee attack when a foe is close enough.

But I guess, that was done because there no longer is any auto-attack. So my additions to the list would be:

- Auto-attack

-Mage melee

I'll add something from myself. I'm tired of devs treating player character like a second rate NPC. We don't get unique hair, unique face textures, nice clothing and armor. Trench coats are plain boring. And the hair. Just look at Morrigan and Cullen, BIOWARE IS CAPABLE OF CREATING GOOD HAIR. But why our characters don't get them, hm? What we got are hideous 12 buzzcut styles and some barely acceptable other ones (I loved the fact that femHawke had her unique hair mesh in DAII). At this point I haven't even completed the game. I'm just not intresting in playing it anymore (these are not the only reasons I just can't stand it, of course). I'd say PC controls are the worst thing so far.

Lmao this just made me giggle. Im sorry but thats funny. Bioware is a business. They care about money. If they can make money or have the potential to make more money by fixing something or adding something to the game, then they will. But thats about the only reason. Or like with Mass Effect people just stop accepting all the bs lines of spin they throw at us and actually come together and hold them accountable for some of these lack laster changes, then maybe they will get done that way as well, but i wont hold my breath on that. lol

I knew something was off with my mage in combat, i just dint even think about how in DA2 you switch your combat style when enemies came close. Ive been so into all this healing debate going on that i didnt even notice that. Nice one.

I find this completely lazy as well. You know most of these hair styles were made for npc characters, rather than made for your character and then used on npc's afterwards. Theres a reason that changing your hairstyle also changes the shape and size of your head, because the different hairstyles were made to work with characters of a certain sized head, not one that could change size like your characters. Not to mention the laziness of having shared male and female styles. I mean come on. I know free games that have a better selection. Not to mention didnt Bioware notice that hair mods were one of the biggest mods used in DAO and DA2. Didnt they take the hint....guess not.

Here's a small one but I think it could be a benefit: Undercroft store should sell blank runestones.

A run function rather than that jog which is very inappropriate during certain game times like when you are supposed to be rushing adamant. We need a run option.

Also, why is everything mapped to the same button? A/X love is a bit over the top.

I would like to see the perk "Friends in High Places" get fixed. Since, it doesn't do anything, and is basically a broken perk.

One way this perk could get fixed is some kind of icon/marker/waypoint could be placed on the map, over the merchants that have new items in stock. This perk is the last in a chain of fairly lenghy connection perks, so it should do something useful. Allowing players the ability to see which merchants have new items in stock, via the map, would be useful since the new items that are sold there, are sometimes sought after (a t3 masterwork schematic), and at other times relatively useless (a weak/ugly unique, or an upgrade (which is something you should be crafting from schematics, anyways). It would help eliminate some of the backtracking, so people don't have to visit the same merchants 500+ times, when they only have new items 30% of the time.
