I'm playing an elf, well into the game and the operation 'Restore Order in Wycombe' comes up. I go with Cullen and send in the troops. My clan gets wiped out. All my people. My whole clan. Seriously? That's it? My whole *&^^%*$ clan and I get +30 influence and a briefly worded report from Cullen at the war table !? WTF Bioware?

It's not a Dragon Age game if you can't wipe out at least one Dalish clan.

I had that same reaction when I accidentally got the whole Grey Warden order wiped out somehow. :(

Wow. I wonder if there's a way for a Trevelyan to inadvertently have Ostwick wiped off the map?

It's official. BioWare hates the Dalish. if you look at possible decision against them since DAO.

They are a bunch of pricks, so I'm not surprised.

You'll get no argument from me, although leave Daisy out of this.  ;)

War table doesn't affect the ending one bit. I too got them killed by  demons and venatori and they still exist in epiogue, help others and are at war with other Wardens.

I wouldn't worry about it, no one ever mentions it again so you can just stick your fingers in your ears and imagine whatever you like instead. Maybe Cullen's lyrium withdrawal is getting to him and he was mistaken?

War table mission changes Gaspard's mind about invading Ferelden...

Yeah it's not so much wiping them out that shocked me really. Storytelling, lavish cut-scenes, companion dialogue; these are all supposed to be Biowares forte and they just killed off all my character's family and friends with a post-it note! "Oops that could have gone better" and the inquisition gaines influence. Riiiiight

Unfortunately, we got huge maps this time around. I imagine that lead to cutting a great deal of sidequests and making them War Table missions instead.

Which are nowhere near as satisfying.

Sorry, I was  only referring to Warden's ending. :)

Besides I had Gaspard executed.

A genocide a game keeps the Dalish away.

Wouldn't know about that, but it's possible for an Adaar to slowly get the entire Valo-Kas mercenary company killed. But honestly, seeing the commander's blunt reaction to each step almost makes it worth it.

"Adaar: The Hairy Eyeballs (what he calls Inquisition soldiers for some reason) gave us bad info. We lost Asaad 1 and 2. We've only got three left now. We also lost Katoh, and she was the only one we had.

-Shokrakar

PS: The Chantry still won't pay us for the conclave. Can you kick their ass?"

Me too...

The worst part is not the death of the clan , well I felt awful ...but the fact that you just can't talk about it...

I mean almost all your companions can talk about the death of close friends (it happens with Viv , Dorian , Cass , Varric ,Solas ...) and you lose your whole clan and nothing.

I understand that completely but to not have any Inquisitor reaction to this event nor being able to discuss it with your people is beyond ridiculous to me. You can't even have an Inquisitor reaction unless they have a convo with someone else so you can select how your quiz feels about things and your pov. So this is a bad move by Bioware story wise IMO. It's your own clan- it's not as if it's just some random group of people for which just a summary/mission report would be perfectly fine for.
