Hey guys!

I have a question, maybe someone can explain...

Whey the hell is the health bar segmented... I mean, if I remember right in ME one segment filled itself up without medigel, the ones that where completely empty stayed empty.

But here... The segments make no sense, cuz the stay half empty. They could just make one solid health bar, it would be the same?

Especially since every char has different segments...

Sry, but why? Anyone has an idea?

Thx :)

The segments help you see the percentage of their health that remains and how much health they have. Warriors have 8 segments, rogues have 7 segments, and mages have 6. They aren't segmented out by health amount (like in mobas) so it isn't to helpful. They seem just to be there for the sake of having some health amount indicator.

Yeah, I was wondering this, too, but contrary to Qibber's astute reasoning behind them, I would find it easier to guage the percentage if it were a contiguous, solid bar rather than segmented.  (With segments, one has an involuntary reflex to count whereas without segments, one would just eyeball it.)

Off-topic but related to health bars, what does the silver/grayish markers on top of the segments mean?  So far, only Cassandra has them decorating her health, no one else.

Okay thx guys :)

The silver stuff is guard. Like armor that can be destroyed. Our like the mage barrier that stays on you.
It's a warrior skill. (or via masterwork for all classes)

Because it's a good indication of how MUCH that health bar contains. A warrior's will contain more health than a mage, without the segments this would not be readily apparent.

Yeah, that's a good point.
