When upgrading your weapon is the most fun thing about getting new weapons?

They could've made them less powerful...

Point is they remove a fun key feature from powerhouse items for no reason.

Epics weapons have specific names and a back story, if you can remember evey epic have one ambient description on the bottom windows. For me that mean the weapon have a fixed crafted story, if every one can modify that kind of weapon its loose the immersion. Also the good thing about epic it that come with free epics upgrades and a nasty skill effect.

For me this is the best 1h sword and have the best upgrades i can ask:

16% heal on kill

+5% damage for every enemy around, i can do 12,000 and 15,000 on critical when i combo Wrath + purge.

When you see weapons with some very high stats and missing one or two sockets, it is because they were already socketed.

honestly i dont find the crafting in this game fun, so less crafting doesnt bother me.

i mean, whats fun about going to a menu and clicking some buttons?

Its not even made to feel like your character is actually crafting stuff, its totally detached from the game and is just a bunch of menus with buttons.

Yeah, I do agree. But I guess the fun is in the results and then testing it out in a run.

It's about customizing it for me..

For example I really like stagger on my 2h weapons.

I got to agree with previous comment. Crafting is detached from this MP. I've got a stockpile of crafting material that I don't need and my only interest is getting the best possible weapons and components. I would've been fine with an "auto-upgrade" that would've save me the trouble of thumbing through a bunch of useless stuff. This is a gear-progression mechanic, not level-progression so combing through the menus is more of a task then a treat.

The inventory cap is going to eventually backfire because RNG does not account for all of your items. I don't foresee every player trying to unlock every outfit and having two/three of each weapon to cross-between and maxing out. Most likely they will settle for one weapon of each type (1h, 2h, dagger, bow, staff, shield) to use across all characters (and future characters) since they are interchangable. If the armors gave different stats/boons then I could see players wanting to use all the available outfits, but they are mere cut-paste copies. I would've used the challenge system to give players the opportunity to unlock bonus character-only rewards for completion , such as their choice of a list of boons, a VERY unique (and randomized) armor/weapon.
