[DragonRacer in Mourning]

Wasn't sure if this was already obvious or posted somewhere, but a few of my friends were having a very hard time figuring out how to collect one of the shards in the Hinterlands... specifically, one sitting on top of an isolated rock formation in the area where you first see the Fereldan Frostback high dragon.

 

I had already collected the shard, so it's not visible in the video, but I went back and made a quick guide on how to jump-scale that wall to reach it.

 

Figured I'd put it here in case it might help anyone else.

Yes, it was.

 

The first time I finally made it almost all the way up, I overshot the jump and ended up stuck between the squarish rocks and the natural rock and no amount of walking/jumping/using powers could get me unstuck. I had to reload to a previous save (which, luckily, I'd made right before I tried rock-climbing).

This would have been the perfect time for the Inquisitor to use the "can you get me a ladder so I can get this bleedin shard" line.

ty for the post. That shard is a pain.I seldom use rogues in my party, so I never thought that dex would be an issue as my femqunari is so tall.

Hey, be glad you can savescum in DAI. If this was a REAL action game, you'd be stuck with a checkpoint from half an hour ago.

For me that one shard was actually pretty easy. Didn't take too many minutes but then again, I'm playing with a human male rogue, so that could be it. The jumps weren't that hard but I haven't played with other characters yet, so I cannot really compare, though.
