It's to the left of Farris's Shop, across from Bonny Sims, but on both of my playthroughs it has never actually showed up. It doesn't spawn, yet it's on the map and the Shop/Buy icon appears when you stand by it. You can shop, but it doesn't really give much. It appears after you do the Bonny Sims mission in the War Room to open up the roads for more trade.

I thought this a bug along with my companions occasionally not spawning around Skyhold, but this Merchant booth NEVER appears. Might want to look into that Bioware.

This merchant appears after the war table mission "Power for a Price" and sells contracts. I think I went with Leliana on this one. You basically can buy influence there.

Yeah, that is Seggrit's shop that you get for "Power for a Price." But there is one that "appears/doesn't show" to the left of Seggrit's across from Bonny Sims, after you do the Bonny Sims war room mission to open the roads for trade. Will have to find the name of that mission and edit in. If you talked to Bonny and did her war room mission, look at your map, there is a third merchant, with a Buy/Sell icon in an empty space.

<edited: NOT Seggrit........."Farris the Representative">

Is that not the same shopkeeper as in Haven? So, you have to save him during the attack on Haven to get him in Skyhold.

DOH!! I meant Farris the Representative........not Seggrit. Jeez!! The invisible merchant is to the left of FARRIS. <facepalm>

Went into the game to find the Bonny Sims mission and realized how utterly frigging confused I was. Ugg!

Is farris the influence seller?

Yes.

I've never known there was third merchant other than the horse store.

It isn't visible. There isn't even a collision with it.....just a Buy/Sell icon floating there. You first have to talk to Bonny Sims either after the Fade or the Winter Palace quests and she will give you a War Room mission to open the roads for trade to flow better. After that is when that third merchant is on the map just to the left of Farris. It's open space until you get near it, then you will see the Buy/Sell icon.

I had 4 merchants total in my first playthrough. The influence dealer, the female shopkeeper opposite, the stables and.another unbetween those two. Is that the one your on about? Because that one isnt present on my current playthrough.

Yes, between the stables(I don't really call that a merchant) and Farris (Influence dealer) to the left of him. I noted it the first time I played the game and I know it is after Bonny gives you the mission to open the roads to trade. After that the merchant will "be" available.

The mission Bonny Sims gives you is "Open the Roads" After that is done the merchant will appear on the map. Here is what I'm talking about:

I thought the third merchant, which seems invisible, was a listing of rides for sale. I bought a few exotic mounts just for fun. Dracolisks are my fave.

I noticed something too. On a different playthrough i had a different amount of merchants at that side of skyhold. Maybe its a bug.. but could it be related to the amount of people you save when haven is under siege? (Its the only thing that went differently for me) Now i have a merchant next to bonnie who sells badass weapons like that axe that does over 200 dps.

Because the game sucks so much, some developers of the game mercifully added Ferris, where each influence from the 130 gold to 4,000 gold influence ALSO EACH AWARD 1 POWER POINT.  Letting buy all the power points you need without exploring and going to any of the zones other then the main story since bioware made everything not matter one bit toward the story and game ending.  So Ferris is mainly a "Yea the game sucks, it's not immersive, your choices don't matter, so you can skip the 60plus hours and do just the main story part" merchant.

The merchant was invisible and usable (And useless) for me In my first play-through (I think you unlock it during Miss. Sims war table missions). Also in my second platinum play-through I had the same thing. Until just now I finished it, And the shop is now visible.

People started to disappear, Like Cullen, And Cole didn't had a talk balloon etc. So I deleted all save games (I never overwrite) and made a fresh one (Story done anyway, so no harm) And reloaded it, And everything is o.k. now, including the visible merchant.

This is what the stall looks like;

This store is invisible because the trigger for the graphic to appear is erroneously tied to Josephine's perk "The Short List" instead of the war table mission "Opening the Roads" where it should be. If you've completed Opening the Roads AND you have Josephine's aforementioned perk, you should have a fully visible interactive store. If you've only met one of those conditions, then you're either going to have an interactive but invisible shop, or a fully visible but non-interactive shop.
