Sorry if this has already been posted, but a forum search turned up squat.

 

I crafted a dagger grip, and it shows in my upgrades in the dagger section, but when I go to put it on a dagger it's not showing as an available upgrade for ANY of the daggers in my inventory.

 

On another forum, I saw that there are different upgrades for regular daggers and dual daggers.  I don't know what a dual dagger looks like, but there's nothing in the name or stats of either the weapon OR the schematic for the upgrade OR the crafted grip itself to indicate any of them are dual or not.  They're just DAGGERS.  

 

So what's wrong?

Noticed the same thing. Anyone know what's up? I've got a stack of dagger upgrades too that don't seem to fit any dagger I've found.

Not all weapons accept upgrades. Many low level weapons wont be upgradable. A question to cover all bases you are going to the modify weapon station to put the upgrades on correct? You can't equip them in your inventory menu.

 

The schematics for dual daggers and their grips state "dual" so you have normal dagger schematics fyi.

But all daggers are for dual wielding... so that is frustrating.

There are 2 types of daggers.  I THINK dual blade upgrades are for the daggers that do AOE damage only.  The other upgrade are for the daggers that specifically hit one target at a time.

That is correct as far as I can tell.  Grips that say 'dual' are for the aoe daggers and the ones that don't are for single-target ones.  Same thing happens with one-handed weapons, where axes use haft upgrades and swords use hilts.

That's not the issue.  The dagger shows an available slot for the grip, and will take other grips, it just won't take the latest one I crafted. None of the daggers i have in my inventory will, though all show available slots for grips and will accept other grips.  And yes, I'm using the modify weapons avil at Skyhold.  Good to know about how the dual blades are identified, thanks.
