I have not found Servis at the castle at the western approach. My quest icon says he's there, but the tooltip says left the vicinity. Any one know what's up?

Anyone else have this problem? I fought the men at the camp, but servis is not among them.

It's possible you have to do something first before you can get to him.  You'll eventually find him at one end of the dungeon near Echo Canyon (I think that's the name of the camp it's next to.

Ok I'll log tonight and see if he's there. I finished Coracavus and setup camp just outside the dungeon. Echoback Fort says hes there, but its only 3 archers and a brute. Killed them 4 times now. Still no Servis. Not sure why the icon says hes there but the tooltip says he left the vicinity.

The archers and brute were on the ground floor.  For me (at least), Servis was up the stairs along the battlements against the one cliff you can break in by, at the distant end of Coravacus from the camp.  Let me know how you make out.  I've logged 220 hours into the game and I'm still wandering aimlessly most of the time....

Yeah the first time I went there I had jumped up the cliff and killed the archer next to the chest upon the battlements. I dropped my inquisitior special and pretty much obliterated everything and then there isnt anyone else up here now. I even found the glyph in the tunnel and used the astarium you can reach there as well. I can hear someone praying or mumbling when I stand next to the rubble on the slope just under the ramparts (or whatever the archers perch is called). So color me confused.

That vague incantation seems to be associated with Venatori, so if you hear someone praying, you didn't find them all.  I'm going absolutely insane trying to find stuff, too.  I'm currently trying to scale a cliff in the Emerald Graves.  I need velcro.

It's a bug.  Many others having the same issue.  The phantom chanting means an "invisible' Servis.  I haven't seen any of the devs acknowledge this as a bug, but too many people having the same issue.  I doubt it's fixed in the patch from a few days ago.

 

There's also a Solas quest bug where you complete the personal quest and it never shows up afterwards as completed (in fact it totally disappears from your journal and Solas' card may not show "loyalty" either).

Same here, this is actually my 4th broken quest on this character, I think after this and the last few games Ive bought on launch  (heres looking at you AC Unity and Destiny). Im all done buying games brand new, I'll wait a few months until they patch their broken games and it works right, because as much as I love this game and I do this is really weak.

I couldn't find him at first because I didn't realize one of the men I'd ended up drawing kinda far away and killing was him, the icon stayed where it was even though he'd run kinda far. I ran back and found him with the button to talk to him over his head.

Yeah I have no idea what to do. I'm gonna chalk this up as a broken quest.

Sooo two months and as many patches later, still no Servis. Any plans to do anything about this?

I think it'll be prudent to post in feedback if this quest is broken. Also specify if you're playing on PC or console. I know there's a list of PC bugs, there should be one for consoles.

I've never had a problem with Servis not being in Echoback Fort but, I don't ever hit him with more than a basic attack. I take out the others fast but, leave him til last and, take him down slowly. It may be that killing him too fast really does kill him and, of course he vaporizes, breaking the quest.

I've never had any problems getting him, either, and I always blast away with full force, every single time.

Servis is easy to spot as he's the big guy in the fort.

Deal with the others, then deal with him.

 

I missed him the first time because he was lying there unconscious, that wasn't a bug.

Me too, he was lying up on the battlements, the marker didn't help, but he was certainly there.

Got the same problem. It's almost like the game thinks I killed him already because Iron Bull keeps saying "One less crazy Vint in the world. Makes you feel good doesn't it". I scoured that place for an hour and no sign of him. Chalk it up as a loss.
