Hi, so I've completed ME1 on Hardcore and started playing it again on insanity to get the insanity and level 60 achievment. But then I thought I cant be bothered as I've just played it through twice already. So thought I would move on to ME2 and come back later to get these achievements. I went to import my most recent Shepard level 55, the same Shepard I've just been using. But he wasn't there in ME2 new game? There is however a previous level 55 Shepard dated last year when I must have played it last. He's the same class and level but different dates??? I've checked my Xbox setting and it's today's date. So I can only guess that my new Shepard hasn't imported and he's the one i want to use. Have I missed something like having to phisically import him at the end of game after you save the council etc?? Any help please?

Do you just use the default John/Jane name? Having different names for different Shepards could help here.

 

After deciding whether to save the council or not an autosave is made and that is the one that is used for importing. If you run the same character through the game a number of times (new game plus) then each version of them should show up as a possible import. It will list their level and name and date created. I have had problems with the date function when my xbox has been offline for a long time (perhaps I unplugged it?) so I go by name and level.

I have just used the john Shepard default name. I have also another save just before the autosave.perhaps it's because I started a new game with the character I was going to import to ME2. So if I go back to the auto save and kill saren once again hopfully I should see that character with the right date.....either that or like you said the date is muddled up and it is the right one there already....I can't tell as I always like to go vanguard and make my Shepard look the same.....I'll try again in the morning..:-) thanks
