So can you just use Tac cam just to move your guys and then switch back to regular view mode?
I'm on PC using keyboard and mouse but Does that work with a controller too?

Yes. At least on PC with mouse and keyboard. Whatever you queue in tactical mode will still be happening once you exit. Quite handy on dragon fights!

It should be noted that it's buggy. It WILL occasionally cancel your orders.
