This bow is only good for closerange Sera flasking against dragons, totally useless and underpowered in any other fight.

That's my vid and I agree. In all honesty just go for crafted. You can find a masterwork superior t3 in hissing wastes (one of the tombs) that's really just the way to go. Especially if you can get the fade touched that you can get the hidden blades ability on there.

I bought and used that epic bow after I got to skyhold on my PC. However, soon I cold make T2 bows with similar DPS for Sera, so only if you swim in gold get it.

i remember there was an epic bow in the temple of mythal after i allied with the sentinels there it was on the floor below a statue of mythal. it was really good because it shot 3 arrows with every shot and had higher base dps than tenasin

Does the Longbow of the Griffon literally triple your damage (ie, skills that do X% weapon damage now do 3X%), or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Masterwork Spiked Bow is the best you can make. Use whatever Fade touched thing you want on it; I personally went with Essence of Perfection for +10% stats.
Gather some great bear hides, lurker scales, dragon bone and dragon webbing and you got all you need.
Final stats will be:
189 dmg
+25 fire dmg
+16 cunning
+44% Critical chance
+23% critical damage
100% critical chance > longbow of the griffon.

Only effects basic attacks, doesn't effect skill attacks at all.
