I romanced Anders with a sarcastic and aggressive Hawke and sacraficed her both times and both times she said 'sorry Anders' so yes he does get a line out of Hawke. Sebastian too. That's all I know

My Hawke said, "Say goodbye to Varric for me," when Varric was standing right there! I was like, "Tell him yourself!" Then afterward Varric said, "Where's Hawke?" and I thought, "You just saw what happened, idiot!" Something is wonky there.

Can't happen. All companions escape through the rift before you make the decision.
