Dorian scene with his father. The revelation of what his father try to do. It dind't make me sad, it made me mad. It happens in real life all too often and I have had the sad privilege to witness it's effects first hand. Horrible, infuriating and ugh.
Flemeth's reaction to what Morrigan is saying to her in the fade is touching. I always got the impression Morrigan might be exagerating how "evil" her mother is, and in that one scene that seemed to be confirmed. Yes she is ruthless, yes she has an agenda... but she seems to actually care about Morrigan. Which is also enforced by the fact that she never actually did* anything to Morrigan (other then hunt* for her... but still)... well not that I'm aware of.
Hawke's death and Varric's scene after that... really emotional. Sacrifice is rarely anything other then sad, and Varric... eh. Powerful and realistic moment.
There are other sad moments, like Leliana going all dark, IB and his choice in his quest, Cole's quest, Leliana and the 2 companion's at future Redcliff, Alexius and Felix...
There's also happy scenes which I enjoyed a lot. Dorian's romance scene for example... it had the right mix of sweet romantic and sexy times and passion. I was afraid they would screw up, and instead they did a stellar job with the character.
The cards game set by Varric is also worth mentioning. Even though a bit overdose
it's still a very nice happy moment.

That scene made me laugh with the whole blood magic thing.
Haven's destruction, Morrigan's reunion and "Where is Hawke? ... Where is Hawke?" impacted me a lot more.

When all my peeps started singing "the dawn will come". It was moving all in itself, and add to that, that my DAO dwarfette was called Dawn. I didn't think they would be writing songs about her down the line! ![]()

The most emotional seen was ... *SPOILER* ahead
The scene when you have to choose between Hawke and the warden ... I mean even if its Stroud ... can't imagine how it was for those who had to choose between Al & Hawke .. AWFUL.

Emotional scenes:
Hawke vs. Stroud, particularly since Carver became a Grey Warden (sad)
Mother Giselle and Leliana singing (encouraging)
Morrigan and Flemeth in the Fade about Kieran (sad)
Sera talking about the lady and the cookies (redeemed her character in my eyes)
The hold the line sequence in the Bad Future (sad)
Besieging Adamant Fortress (loved)
Watching the "Hold the Line" sequence at Thereinfall (encouraging)

And while recreation of Morrigan's face isn't as amazing as I'd hoped it to be, her "mother"-reactions were just perfect. She really played that role with all the little subtleties a mother has for her boy.

For some reason when you get your memories back of what truly happened it gave me goosebumps. Goosebumps are basically my sign of an emotional scene haha.
1. Seeing the divine being sacrificed at end of prologue
2. Morrigan and Flemeth after Morrigan drinks from well
3. The Dawn WIll come
4. Adamant (best mission in game IMO)
5. Barras drinking from the cup before Envy
6. Dorian talking to you about being his best and (only?) friend during the epilogue.
7. Sera when she finally starts being sweet to you instead of her old self.
8. Dragon and Cory coming up to you from both sides at haven
Starting my first playthrough where Alistair is going to be the warden....choosing between him and Hawke is going to be hard especially since I never really felt that attached to Hawke as a character.

just to change his sexual orientation
It's ''just'' to you, but it's not ''just'' in Tevinter Altus family.
Also..
No, no emotional scenes for me. Pretty much didn't relate to anything, or anyone.

1. Dorian in the tavern with his father.
2. Iron Bull scattering the ashes of the dead chargers.
3. Varric if Hawke got rekt
4. Keiran meets Grandma, Morrigan disapproves.
5. That song scene, no it ain't cheesy.

Also I felt bad when Varric asked where Hawke was after he/she died in the Fade. Just his reaction alone was super sad.
Iron Bull, Dorian and Cullen's romance arcs were also pretty powerful. Iron Bull starts off by not caring and suggests a fwb but ultimately shows he cares deep down, Dorian of course despite his pretentious nature and Cullen's entire arc was sweet.

2. The Dawn will Come
3. Hugging Varric
4. For my Dalish rogue, finding out the truth about Red Crossing and the subsequent Exhalted march was incredibly powerful, partly because it was so unexpected.
Lots of others, but these stick in my mind as moments I just stopped and stared at the screen.

Oh, I forgot that. That was incredible, I had to shut down the game and walk away from it for a while because it was so powerful. Mostly because it was totally unexpected, I agree, but wow.

- The Dawn Will Come
- Cole and Varric when you choose to make him more human
- Leliana's personal quest (in my first play through I didn't realize you could harden her and what happened if you did)
- The vallaslin scene with Solas
- Morrigan running after Kieran and confronting Flemeth
- Varric's reaction about Hawke if you let him die
There's more but those stand out off the top of my head.

Here lies the Abyss - The scene where Clarion (or how that female Gray Warden called) that she tried to do **** for good and been tricked to destroy everything she valued, and moment she realizes it. Some people ignore that, but i think all that Warden quest deserves quiote high mark, and is quite emotional - so much at stakes, and so much destroyed. Gray Wardens is been something altruisitc and powerful, declined in total dark crap thru lies and mischief.
All Here Lies the abyss plot is pretty strong and intense one, including that you are forced to part and say bye to one of nice characters . I saved Loghain, because i have some respect to his personality despite his wrongs. Hawke is awkward hero, that was sad to leave you in the Fade, but alas , may be you will emerge again, that was not 100% confirmed thah Hawke died there. After all, he is hero of Kirkwall. Awekward hero, but hero neverless.

Dorian's quest definitely got me misty eyed. It wasn't the confrontation with his father, but the look on his face afterward when you tell him you think he's brave. I thought, "he doesn't know that he is." Especially moving since he risks so much to help you, especially on the templar side.
Morrigan was pretty close, too.

Loads of individual moments have had me with a lump in my throat, each of the companions/advisors have given me pause at some point in their arcs. But the biggest "feelz" moment for me was definately the cutscene of the long march through the snowy mountains and then when Skyhold is first revealed to you, the music kicks in and the goosebumps landed, I love that scene so much.

My top 3 would be the Morrigan/Flemeth scene, FutureLeliana buying time and The Dawn Will Come scene. Didn't get the hug Varric scene myself, but saw it on YT. Good thing I didn't choose to leave Hawke behind...imagining Merrill's reaction to Varric's letter if that had happened...nope, I don't need that. ![]()

Varric's emotional scene when Hawke... chose to stay at the other side...
...and Cullen's lyrium arc & prayer scene.
