Anyone find them useless and unwieldy? I've been trying to wrap my head around how poorly they seem to of been done its almost like no one at bioware has ever encountered one. I cant tell you how many times I've been thrown off a cliff because it's incapable of backing up and any movement requires 2 steps forward before turning in any direction.

I haven't had much trouble with maneuvering them. But then again, I also enjoyed the Mako, so maybe I'm crazy. Anyway, I wonder if having Cullen teach you riding techniques via perks (shuddup) makes a difference.

Yeah I don't really use them at all unless I have to traverse a huge space, and that only happens in maps that I already fully explored.

I also think the animations and horsie sounds are pretty spot on, to be honest. They're much better than the attempts made by many other games, and possibly second only to Red Dead Redemption. But, that's just my opinion, of course.

They serve their purpose. Used them a lot in desert locations.

Since I've worked out that you need to extend the periods when you're not doing anything but walking if you want your companions to talk to each other, I've been walking pretty much everywhere.

I really love the mounts but I feel like I'm missing out on banter with party members when I use them. Also watching my party run around together looks cool.
Exactly why I don't use them. I rarely get banters and I don't want to miss opportunities for them to happen. IMO, mounts weren't really the smartest things to add with a feature like the banter system in place. I feel as if I'm using one of these features, I'm missing out on the other.
