Wow. Now that trailer got my attention. Kudos to whoever decided to put classical operatic music in the trailer. Or is that common in the series? I haven't watched Mad Max, so...

Anyway, so that seems to mark the fourth film that's coming next year that's apart of a popular franchise, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, BvS: Dawn of Justice, and Avengers (well, it's a DIRECT sequel to the first Avengers anyway). Seems that 2015 goes to the fans. Though maybe not to anybody that wanted any new IPs.

Looks completely over the top and insane. As a huge fan of the series, I can't wait to see it!

Mel Gibson is Mad Max, absolutely no one can replace him in that role for me.

Besides that this movie looks like more typical hollywood cgi garbage. Can't wait to read the bad reviews.

I don't know on one hand I agree, Gibson IS Max. And yet I'm kinda sorta totally but not really, and yet I am but not so much. But still in a small way, not all the way, but a small way.  So excited for it!! I'll probably see it day one. Same with Episode 7 (even though I'm still somewhat worried as to how Mickey and J.J. will handle it).

I wasn't gonna give it a chance until I heard George Miller was involved. Now I might see it. (Charlize doesn't hurt either)

I've never been much into the series but these latest trailers look fantastic. I think Tom Hardy is the perfect pick.

Captian Obvious you need to go watch Mad Max and The Road Warrior right this instant

NOW MISTER!

George Miller is directing it

not Peter Jackson

From the interview I linked above:

GM: Well, we made a big, big point to go old-school with “Fury Road.” There are moments of green screen mainly for some landscape, but this is not a green screen movie. We crashed a lot of cars; every stunt was done, if not by the cast then by some very fine stunt men; and it was shot on a real location. I’ve had enough experience with CG to know that you can’t really get some of that immersive material authentic in a way. Cumulatively, it’s appreciated by an audience. It feels more real.

Hoooold on there. Hardy's character seems understated even in the small bits we've seen and Charlize looks like a total badass. There's another badass chick in the last trailer too. It's not easy to pull that off without being cheesy or over the top.

Open your mind, you might like watching a tough as nails man save the ladies. :)

I don't know, still too much forced edgy going on for my tastes. Driving a go cart decked out with skulls and yelling a lot while also making hammy statements doesn't make you "tough as nails," it just means you have terrible fashion sense and a concept of dark ripped from the back of a Transformers toy box.

For what it's worth, I never liked the original Mad Max either so it was probably a lost cause from the beginning. One of the different and weird things I came across with all the video games and stuff that nonetheless never resonated.

Is that Mel Gibson halfway through the trailer with bad teeth?

It seems like he hates his wife more than the Jews.

Beware, bandits. You wouldn't like Max when he's mad.
