First and most important:
It's still Mass Effect, the story wakes you with a blast (quite literally) and sucks you in deep. I completely lost track of time and the fact i hadn't eaten anything, until i got stuck at some point in Jacks Recruiting Mission over my own idiocy
.
Whatever, the storytelling is great, planet scanning is much more comfortable and rewarding than driving arround with the make to find three elements on each planet. Only downside is, that you sometimes need a full dozen probes (out of a m of 30 stored on your ship at a time) to cover every peak (read: sign of mineral showed by the scanner) and than get back to buy new ones (pretty cheap though) and new fuel. However, if you not raid every planet to its sceleton like i do, you'll be just fine.
Once you land on a planet to assign a mission, the fun of battle kicks in. No more NPC flooding the only entrance to the base, no more simple biotic spamming to CC-kill everything without any risk, instead you have to work your way and combine all abillities you have, to get the combat done.
The adapt plays quite good so far, it's fun to throw people around an such. Just if you encounter the lovely YMIR-Mechs, you'll be thinking: O MY GOD, I should have taken the soldier or the sentinel. But if you keep your distance and once you scew through his shields you'll get your bloody, erh, i mean, oily revenge.
AMMO. Yes, it's ammo and if you just stick to your kick as hand cannon and camp behind cover, you'll maybe run out of ammo for it, however, you still got your SMG and if you are able to get both OOM without taking out all immediate threads, you should drink less, or more, depending on if you have a problem with or without alcohol.
In general, you'll never really ran out of ammo, nearly any foe drops new heatsinks and if you pick them up, you'll be fine. But incase you've a problem with the never selfcooling sinks lore-wise, count me in.
Well... that was all i wanted to write about so far, i think. The controls haven't change much, but it irritates me, that the squad-menue was relocated to left-shift and use to spacebare, but that's not a real problem could say something about the graphics, but I don't care for them. ME2 looks great, not much more to say.
If you've any questions, don't bother to ask, but I'll not spoiler you any plot-relevant information.
