Well, it doesn't require you to keep old save files around, for one. The implementation needs some kinks worked out, but as far as utility goes, it's a step up, because you don't have to have played previous games to make your own customized world state.

Importing save files from DAO to DAOA and DA2 was pretty buggy or messed up in cae of DAOA.

DA:A ignored all of the approval flags. While DA2 imported about 20 things from both games and still managed to get it wrong.

So the best solution is to go on the internet and fiddle about? It's more like a time waster I have play troughs that I've long since deleted and they showed up on the Keep instead of the ones I've wanted. Plus I've never experienced a problem with imports before so whatever.

(to SpigotTBear) Well, I have and so did several others. Saying you have never experienced a problem with imports before does not negate all those problems others have had.

 

Neither solutions are perfect but I still consider the Keep the better option out of the two.

That means you never played ME2 with in import where you were nice to Conrad Verner and never play Dragon Age 2 with Nathaniel surviving the siege of Vigil's Keep. Those are just two instances that were automatically broken for everyone.
