It's even better if you fling yourself off of a high place doing certain attacks. Rogues are particularly bad about this since some of their attacks have them lunge forward over a good distance.

Playing as a warrior and trying to charge up/down a hill usually results in flying half way across the map, its incredible.

Liked (loved): The score. The music for this game is stellar, even against the best of the previous lot, I find. Trevor Morris has been nothing but a boon for the audio end of this franchise.

Disliked: Spawning armor. This temporary immunity thing is actually really frikkin' annoying. I can kind of understand it on dragons, but it's so weird when human enemies have it. What the hell. In the back of my mind, I fear Krogan may have this same feature in the next Mass Effect game, provided they are among the enemies to fight.

I like the companion writing.

I HATE what they've done to the Dalish and Libertarians.

Like: playing as qunari. I always wanted to play this race and be vashoth, and I got it. Could not be happier and I tend to forgive all shortcomings because of it. And the fact that race is mentioned often is a nice cherry on top.

Honorary mention: interaction with companions. Seems the best system so far, at least to me.

Dislike: pacing. But I was expecting it from the moment they told they are aiming for openworld-ish experience. Open world games always have shitty pacing because of its nature and if it was not sequel to the games I like, I would have never picked this game up. So I was ready for problems with pacing, but still I would prefer smaller scale where all locations have strong ties to the story and doing/skipping them has influence on game's outcome. DAI is big and pretty, but 70% of it is meaningless. You can skip pretty much everything and it will make no difference (while in, say, ME2 it would kill half your squad in the last mission).

(Dis)honorary mention - patch 2 that rendered my game unplayable. Cannot finish alternative playthroughs because game simply refuses to load properly, sometime I have to wait for 5+ minutes for cutscene to start, and I start hearing combat sounds after the combat is already finished. Which was not an issue before the patch.

I cannot stick to just one.

Liked: Good main story, most of the major characters solid, good level design, distinguishable art style, puzzles were challenging but not masochistic, gameplay was a refreshing change of pace (it's not a first person shooter! yay!), decent crafting system, not overdependant on pause-and-play mechanics, reasonably good soundtrack.

Disliked: Overabundance of collectables, Page and a half of minor technical gripes, broken MP matchmaking at launch, mounts are clunky and feel wholly unnecessary, weird restrictions on equipment (SERA ISN'T ELF-TRAINED?), recipes not telling me their restrictions before I buy them and try to craft stuff, Skyhold customization was pricey and underwhelming, combat on inclines is infuriating with melee characters, there were occasions where I felt like they were force feeding religious and/or gay pride material.

Best Bioware game since ME2 imho.  I didn't realize how much I missed story driven rpgs.

i liked a lot of things. the basis of the story, all the companion characters -- or at least i can admire the writing even if i hate the character -- voice acting, soundtrack, and the big open world environments. much better than da2. enjoyed playing as qunari, finally. crafting was nice, and i enjoyed the knight enchanter class after so long missing arcane warrior from dao. also, the names of the main quests made me bizarrely happy.

however, i also disliked a lot of things. open-world wise, i prefer morrowind/skyrim by miles. i've spent over 1000 hours in skyrim and i would still prefer to wander around there as opposed to any of the areas in inquisition, and i don't exactly know why. it might be the mmo-feel that inquisition has, which i passionately dislike, and to be perfectly honest i would been happier with smaller environments and areas in exchange for more main plot. after a while i got intensely bored of all the sidequests, the majority of which were fetch quests, and i just wanted to do the main plot -- and i could, since i had enough power, but i felt some sort of experience was going to be missed out on if i didn't do everything and i forced myself to do more side things, which wasn't enjoyable in the least and felt more like a chore. there were about 30-40 hours of things i genuinely wanted to do and 100 hours of screwing around that, eventually, i just gave up on. the open-world style feels like it's a waste of resources if there isn't a reason to use it -- as mauser said, it's big and pretty but 70% of it is useless, and it doesn't help you get a better ending. mounts are completely pointless in a game where the motivation for running around is to hear your companions talking (at least for me), as you don't get banter when on them, and it probably doesn't help that i still have the banter bug. tactical cam is kind of useless and i miss the origins way of directing combat, but i don't mind it that much. skyhold pajamas are a little stupid, but i think everyone's complained themselves hoarse about that anyway. qunari have been more humanized than i wanted -- would have preferred the design from da2, or at least the black eyes and claws. the last quest had one of the most abrupt boss fight transitions i've ever seen, but it's hard to be worse than the ending of skyrim's main quest.

for all that, however, i do love it, and it sits near the top of my all time favorite games list with me2 and ac4, only under morrowind.

Like: Leliana and Morrigan are both back in action.

Dislike: Very poor, if not completely unfelt presentation of the Mage vs. Templar war

No, I am not talking about the Venatori or the Red Templars. I am talking those that are not working for Coryfyfish. If there is one thing DA2 is better at, it is this.

I liked having the Qunari as a choice for my avatar, I liked Iron Bull.

I disliked the PC tactic controls especially in combat.

Like: Writing of the companions/advisors. They really do feel like a family and I love interacting with them.

Dislike: Changes to combat. I thought DA2's combat was perfect (minus the waves) and the whole "hit detection" part of DAI's combat drives me nuts on anything larger than a humanoid. Trying to hit a dragon with a DW rogue before getting dual-blade daggers was not a fun experience.

Liked Main quest. Thought they were all very good except for the end.

Disliked The shortness of the mainquest and the over abundance of filler content. Would have much preferred less open world and more focussed main quest.

For me, the worst aspect of the game is easily the muddled nature of the storytelling: you're thrust into a world where you don't have any clear background or personal investment, and plot elements and dilemmas unfold in a kind of disjointed way that makes it hard to feel the narrative or understand the consequences of your choices.

The best aspect of the game is harder to identify. There are many good elements (more good than bad, I think) but few of them meaningfully advance the state of the art. It seems like the designers wanted to include every kind of gameplay experience they could think of, and didn't commit to excellence in any of them.

I appreciate that DA:I's NPCs were probably the most credible that I've seen, meaning they generally come across as real people who had lives, values and motives before they met your character, and who don't exist for the sole purpose of serving the main character or validating or indulging the player's personal fantasies. I think they did a better job of this than any other game I can recall, including Origins. That's the best feature of the game.

Good: Crafting, character creator, open world, main campaign.

Bad: Not enough armor styles, too many fetch/collect quests. Shards, put flowers on graves, etc...

Like:

Schmooples the 2nd becomes the mascot for the Chantry if Leliana becomes Divine. :)

Dislike:

The game is currently missing the level 21 to 30 Maps and Contents.

As of now contents only go up to lvl 1 to 20 (or 23 if you want to try to kill all High Dragons)

Feel like they're saving the lvl 21 to 30 maps and contents for the DLC Storyline which I won't be surprised if they are.

I feel like for one thing that I liked, there's always a bad that follows.

- I liked the main story, but it felt rushed, way too short.

- I liked the characters, but they were poorly developed and some companion's quests were just wtf (Vivienne's for starters).

- I liked the open world aspect, but they created too many places without barely any cinematics and fill them up with fetch quests.

- I liked the new character creator, but they failed miserably with the hairstyles.

- I liked the crafting system, but it lacked schematics variety and they made the mistake of tying utility to color.

- I liked the party banter, but it's bugged so I barely get any.

- I liked that Corypheus was the big bad, but after Haven he didn't feel like a threat at all and the ending was just pathetic.

- I liked Skyhold, but then we are forced to wear those awful pajamas, we can't upgrade it properly and in the end that huge fortress is useless because we are never attacked.

- I liked the idea of claiming Keeps, but just like Skyhold they are completely useless. No customization, no fortification, no attacks, nothing.

- I liked the war table, but again useless, doesn't affect the game 99% of the times and some missions should've been actual quests.

And then there's the multiple things that I didn't like that have nothing good going for them which are too many unfortunately.

Liked: Improved character creation.

Disliked: Lack of armor variety, and it didn't help that many of what the game currently has are locked to a race.

Liked :1) Cassandra scene where she smiles for the 1st time. She made me work for it , like damn woman why you no love me.! 2) Dorian fit in so well , i mean you wouldn't know he was gay , his sexuality didn't define him , it was great, he felt natural, with good writting.

Disliked : 1) Lack of female antagonists , like seriously besides 1 main female villain all the bad guys were just that guys. Can we please put some focus in interesting female Villains? Was hopping Flemeth would fill that role but alas. 2)Vivienne never knew i could hate the word Darling soooooo much , and i had high hopes for her being a LI .  3) how far apart your companions were... especially in Sky hold.  4) A certain Dwarf scout not being a LI , Bio why you hate Dwares so much? also lack of Qunari Female LI.
