Leliana's Analysis.
First analysis of differentyt summaries, from different sources, direct function analysis in 2nd part of the post.:.
(Made it fast with reliable resources and fast data mining)
ENFJ
The ENFJ is empathetic and insightful, seeing and making connections between people. Action-oriented, and people-centred they make sure that everything is planned, scheduled, organised and people are happy.
ENFP
Optimistic and hopeful, the outgoing and cheerful nature of the ENFP belies a more sensitive soul who can take criticism to heart and who needs to be liked. They are outgoing, fun, and genuinely like people.
no doubt Leliana is not matching to ENFP description but matching ENFJ one,
ENFJ
Whilst the ENFJ will encourage trust and openness they may not be so open about how they are feeling, indeed they may not really think about that so focused are they on caring for, and organising others.
ENFP
An ENFP will wear their heart on their sleeve and has no problem being open. However their values are so important and these are internalised so it may be possible to inadvertently hurt the ENFP.
Also, no doubts here which fits to Leliana and which not.
ENFJ
Naturally service-driven the ENFJ really does care and will want to apply this energy to tangible outputs, preferably that will help people. They need clarity, real meaning, a worthwhile output and closure.
ENFP
ENFPs do not like bureaucracy or rules and regulations and they will argue long and eloquently defending their reasons. They are quick and nimble, working in short bursts of energy and need flexibility.
ENFJ
The ENFJ loves a plan, a clear picture of where they are going and they will work diligently towards the goal. Indeed the ENFJ will feel less comfortable with too many options open, as they need closure.
ENFP
ENFPs need variety, stimulus and to be surrounded by people. Solitary tasks, targets, repetition, formal structures or hierarchy don’t suit, as they work best in a flexible workplace where relationships are valued.
etc.
Now Keirsey Descritptions:
ENFP
Champions (ENFP) delight in novelty. They are optimistic, enthusiastic, and vivacious, craving expressions of strong emotion. With a dramatic flair, they share their experiences with others, hoping to reveal some universal truth or win others over in support of a cause. Attuned to possibilities, Champions scan their environment, probing the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. This sensitivity sometimes conflicts with their intense drive for personal authenticity. Spontaneous and personable, they attract others to their company.[3] Champions are full of energy and can spend great amounts of time discussing ideas and possibilities with others. They always look to find meanings in the world, and are more likely to be the champion of causes rather than of individuals. Living fully in this way is extremely important to them and it is their nature. Champions observe all that is going on around them and are quick to bring peace to any unpleasant interaction. They are not afraid to speak up and defend what they think is right and correct, just, or fair.
^^ this is not LEliana
The Idealist most committed to guiding others through the doors of life, or along the pathways of learning and understanding, is the type that Keirsey has named the Teacher (Myers's "ENFJ").
Teachers are natural facilitators in all their relationships, encouraging those around them, urging their personal growth, and taking charge of others (particularly of groups) with an extraordinary enthusiasm and confidence. Indeed, Teachers are so expressive and charismatic in their leadership -- in a word, so inspiring -- that they seem in some ways less coercive than the other Idealists. Keirsey says that, though Teachers are both expressive and role-directive, they manage to "command without seeming to do so," not by means of explicit orders, nor through saintly patience, romantic longing, or mute withdrawal, but by kindling in their students and colleagues their own passion for self-exploration and development. Teachers are masters of the art of positive expectation (or "front-loading"), and they communicate their belief in the evolution of the "self" with such a glow of promise that quite often, as Keirsey tells us, their optimism "induces action" in others, and the "desire to live up to [their] expectations."
Teachers bring all this infectious energy to their intimate relationships as well, and they make passionate and delightfully creative companions. However, at such close range the intensity of their wishes for their loved ones can create interpersonal conflict. Teachers can overwhelm their loved ones with their exuberance, and with their Pygmalion presumption that everyone wants to be helped along the path of self-discovery. Then, when their loved ones either resist their pressure or fail to meet their idealistic expectations, Teachers can feel frustrated, disillusioned, or even betrayed by the persons they care most about.
Bolded important part - think of things happened in DA:O (Ashes too), and think about Maker and her belief, she loves world and people and Maker and Andraste with passion, but under pressure and failing to meet her idealistic expectations, she feel frustrated and disillusioned with her faith.
Functions.
DOMINANT
ENFJ - Dominant: Extraverted feeling (Fe)[edit]
Fe seeks social connections and creates harmonious interactions through considerate, enthusiastic, and charming behavior. Fe responds to the explicit (and implicit) wants of others, and may even create an internal conflict between the subject’s own needs and the desire to meet the needs of others.[14]
ENFP - Dominant: Extraverted intuition (Ne)[edit]
Ne finds and interprets hidden meanings, using “what if” questions to explore alternatives, allowing multiple possibilities to coexist. This imaginative play weaves together insights and experiences from various sources to form a new whole, which can then become a catalyst to action.
She manipulates wants of other people and creates conflicts through her ways she tries to solve things. She is manipulator, and she is very Dominant Fe in DA:O. In DA:I in this function is draw, because there is some truth in Dominant Ne for her , but here only slight glimspes of similarity to ENFP end.
AUXILIARY
ENFJ - Auxiliary: Introverted intuition (Ni)[edit]
Attracted to symbolic actions or devices, Ni synthesizes seeming paradoxes to create the previously unimagined. These realizations come with a certainty that demands action to fulfill a new vision of the future, solutions that may include complex systems or universal truths.[15]
ENFP - Auxiliary: Introverted feeling (Fi)[edit]
Fi filters information based on interpretations of worth, forming judgments according to criteria that are often intangible. Fi constantly balances an internal set of values such as harmony and authenticity. Attuned to subtle distinctions, Fi innately senses what is true and what is false in a situation.[13]
"
Leliana is Auxiliary Ni. She always have solutions which include "complex systems of universal truths", and she often proposes quite "fresh " approaches, some may sound odd, new and weird.
TERTIARY
ENFJ - Tertiary: Extraverted sensing (Se)[edit]
Se focuses on the experiences and sensations of the immediate, physical world. With an acute awareness of the present surroundings, it brings relevant facts and details to the forefront and may lead to spontaneous action.[16]
ENFP - Tertiary: Extraverted thinking (Te)[edit]
Te organizes and schedules ideas and the environment to ensure the efficient, productive pursuit of objectives. Te seeks logical explanations for actions, events, and conclusions, looking for faulty reasoning and lapses in sequence.[14]
Leliana is not thinker or logic planner. She is Se schemer, She have more "Se" approach on how she acts - and often acts spontanely, and have very few ways to solve things which she always ready to propose - "covert them". All reasoning coming from her is word "perhaps" and she runs to action proposition right after it. Leliana is clearly Tertiary SE.
INFERIOR
ENFJ - Inferior: Introverted thinking (Ti)[edit]
Ti seeks precision, such as the exact word to express an idea. It notices the minute distinctions that define the essence of things, then analyzes and classifies them. Ti examines all sides of an issue, looking to solve problems while minimizing effort and risk. It uses models to root out logical inconsistency.[17]
ENFP - Inferior: Introverted sensing (Si)[edit]
Si collects data in the present moment and compares it with past experiences, a process that sometimes evokes the feelings associated with memory, as if the subject were reliving it. Seeking to protect what is familiar, Si draws upon history to form goals and expectations about what will happen in the future.[15]
This is no brainer. Leliana have very shining and sure TI here, hands down.
PS> I wont dive into shadow functions because there alot of proofs and no more stuff needed.
Obcourse all that based on my perception on Leliana in scope of the whole DA trilogy
