I am pretty frustrated because my mage has been trying to get a specialization and he can't get the mats.  He's level 16 now and still hasn't been able to choose a specialization.  I only need one more venatori tome to make him a Rift mage, and I have killed a couple of hundred Venatori and still it hasn't dropped. 

 

Is it really supposed to be that hard?  It's starting to look like I will finish my first play-through without ever being a specialist of any kind.
