For those who did procure the Digital Deluxe or Pre-order editions, are the Flames of the Inquisition weapons and armors any good overall? I only own the vanilla version of Dragon Age Inquisition, so I'm wondering if I'm really losing out, or not by a whole lot much?

It isn't bad. Nothing to write home about either though.

Thank you! So I take it that crafting will beat out the spec value of the weapons and armor then?
Sorry if this has been asked. I remembered seeing questions like these somewhere, but can't seem to find them now.

I bought it for the armored horse horse tbh. The weapons are cool and you can get them at the beggining, later you can craft them again with higher stats. Same with armor, instead I think the armor is ridiculous...
The throne is cool but the armrest ruins it. There's no way that armrest is confortable.

The armor is easily replaceable by something far better if you know where to look. The weapons will be useful for a little longer. If you are male human... the armor makes you look .... extremely fat tho...

I had the extra 10 bucks and I was happy to pay to get some additional content. That being said, if money was a factor, it's not worth it.

The MP chest was a joke. At least the contents were.
The nice thing I suppose is the schematics could be usefull if you haven't found better ones at the time.

The advantage in game terms of the Flames of the Inquisition Weapons Arsenal dlc is that you get some mediocre weapons at the start in T1 and some inferior weapon schematics the moment you arrive at T2 and T3 content; While inferior to the good schematics sold at T2 and T3, they are generally better than the tier you are just advancing from, so you might find use for them for a short while, and the schematics are free in terms of in-game costs.
Or you could just go buy some good schematics from the schematics shops immediately. You are not strapped for gold in the generous game economy.
The visual advantage is that if you are into that sort of thing, they look dragon/fire themed.
I ended up not crafting a single item from the dlc, and using the initial Staff of the Dragon for around an hour or so as I was running a two-mage group as it was a marginal improvement for one of the mages.
I'd have felt ripped off if I'd paid extra for it, but as I didn't, well, fine with me.

I'm debating buying the deluxe version for my 2nd play-through. At the time I didn't know if I was going to like this game but I'm really enjoying it and like the music.
I'll probably get it. Christmas is all about me, after all. ![]()

Yeah, the reason why I'm querying about it, is that I spotted the Flames of Inquistions DLC sets being sold separately on CD key sites, and thinking if I should bother with buying them or not?
I have not yet played very far in the game at all, and had to stop for quite awhile. Planning on re-playing soon with a new character, so just asking around. ![]()

I agree completely. I would not have paid for it by itself, but as part of the deluxe edition, I am completely okay with it.

The soundtrack is what made me buy the Deluxe Edition. Everything else is very much meh.

The armor looks poor, far too bulky. The weapons are OK and you get upgraded schematics as you go along. The soundtrack is good.
