Ok.  :(

Now I'm officially desperate!

I knew that we don't have any ways to export and import the headmorph.

I was going to create a same-named character and replace the early save by the same save from an old PT. But it's not working!

What I did:

-started a new PT with a same class and same name character, did not bother with CC

-went thought the intro, right up to the moment where we get outside the gates

-saved.

-exit

-took my old u001 save and renamed it

-pasted my renamed old save into the save folder

The save names look like this: DAISAVE-U001-3B8A5F41 (with no '-'s)

'U001' is a user save index number

the latter part is some sort of PT-ID, but a mere change of string in a file name does not seem to work. Game ignores it and I can't understand why I only see two autosaves in a load menu.

The old save is 100% not corrupted.

Does it perform a checksum for each of the save files? Does it care for the initial creation date instead of just picking the proper file name?  Do the saves need to have 100% matching coordinates (=exactly same spot on the map)? Does it have anything to do with a paranoid Denuvo and it's anti-temper protection?

I want my new PT! And I want it now, not when someone comes up with a save-editor or a face-code feature in the patches.

Could anyone please help me?

ps: and before anyone suggested deleting all the saves and playing my new PT from an old save - I don't want to. I really don't.  I need my new PT with my own char.

Up with a small update. Something tells me I'm not the only one who wishes to replay the same character, even if it means same class (for now).

I've used hex-editor, and I've found that 'PT ID' string. Replaced it with a new one. The game recognized my save file then, but a new save went into the old PT anyway. Suggestions?

Yeah, I can't see this working. You'd have to replace the character head morph data in your new file with what's in your old IMO. A much larger hack. Am I the only person that makes a "start" save right after the CC and never overwrites it? Not that I've ever used it.

Replacing headmorph would be a great option, sure, but we don't have one.

I just don't understand why is it not working! I mean - the game does recognizes the modded save as part of the new PT, I see it right after the chaptersave\autosave, on a proper lv1 character...but new save goes into the old one, next after the lv20 endgame saves.

I'm lucky that I have an early save this time (almost right after the intro), that's my only chance to replay in any way. I usually don't save much.

I hate to see no official support on this matter. A mere option to play legally with the same CC custom character (with no exp and loot)  -  was that too much to ask for?..

We've got a complex CC and no sliders\grids coordinates, encrypted saves and lack of NG+. Once in a while I envy those who play with default presets, really. ((
