When I went to import, where's no option to import. I checked my ME 1 saved games and there they are.. WHY? =/

You need to run the ME2 configuration tool and import the save games (it copies them over).



To do this launch the game - when you see the launcher come up select configure.

In the new dialogue that pops up on the left hand side should be something that says character import or something.

Point it to your saved game ME1 saved game files.

So... Where the heck are they? I know that I have ME1 saves, but in looking through the game files I can't frickin' find them.

is there other way to import them since my laucher always give me xml error,to start the games i have to use the exe in the bin folder.

masseffect2config.exe in your binaries folder.

A-hahahaha. They're actually nowhere near the game directory. They're over in the MyDocs folder. Which makes... absolutely no sense to me, but whatever.

You can try and do it manually.
copy your ME1 save (Char*.MassEffectSave)  to
My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1\\

you dont select the save game itself, but the save directory. then it will show up ingame
