Is it a bug or instability? Let's class bugs into things that affect game play and are repeatable -find something wrong? Ask someone to duplicate the conditions and document your results. In any event, start a new game afterwards as seeming minor bugs can lead to instability.
Instability is another issue and it sneaks up in various ways, so here are clues:
- The scan key may appear to stick - Actually handy by itself and this may appear to clear up on its own when you leave an area.
- "Killer rabbits" everything trips attack
- "Follow me home" enemies never disengage
- "they smell you coming" large groups of mixed enemies attack from extended range
- "Duplicity" enemies occupy the same space
- "rubberbanding" Follow the bouncing npc
- "Walking on air" Only lovers can appreciate this one
- "Let's do it again" Rifts have additional cycles
- "Dragons never die" Like vampires you have to take the head! If you get to the point that targeting has halted, sorry back out and do it again.
- Random crashes
Most of the items are pretty harmless on their own, in fact you may go hours before DA:I begins to really look "sick". Best option is locate a save before the broken quest or other condition that you believe caused the instability -trial and error is a poor choice, because of the slow rise to an unstable condition, so worse case start a new game.
