I have finished the game in 37h and 42 min ( not barging here )
I ended with lvl 17 and no 4 tier gear
At the end I thought "seriously this is non linear quest ?!" well to be fair there were some decisions how to proceed but other than choosing between mages and templars there were no major decisions in MAIN QUEST. On other hand in side quest there are painful and major decisions and I am not even speaking about judgments, they are great example of decisions which have some values.
I mean when you get to well of sorrow quest it doesn't matter that much if you drink from well or if Morrigan does because if you import custom world the kid is going to get kidnapped either way and if you have default world then there is no kid. But it still ends same with or without the kid, which is disappointing, also you can't prevent them from taking kids god soul...
Then here is the dragon which you get either way. I would prefer if you had to do some missions where you discover the hidden well of sorrow or you could do decision like when you put in prison lot of your red lyrium magister's (forgot his name as he was not so great villain and character) high ranking officers or agents like the one in grey warden or the other magister which has dying son (oh the names...), well if you don't kill them and start questioning them then you would get pieces of information when you ask good question or if you find something or do quest for them, like save the son of magister for example, then you would have found out about the well and the dragon and then it would go as it was. Also when you would have prisoners the enemy would try to siege you and get them out or try to kill them. Or you could just choose to use your soldiers and in big numbers go and kill the red lyrium magister where you would have epic siege and you would lose men depending on how much did you get better training perk for them or the gear perk for them (which gives you instead tier 2 schematics...). Now we get to point what would decide how many soldiers would you have for which I think would be used the fortresses system from video in 2013 where we saw that every area had fort and you could siege it or try to capture it you and your party, then you would decide what type of fort would it be. Army fort, agents/spies base or trade center. Army fort would be more defensible, increased your army size and shorted time for getting reinforcements to other nearby regions. Agent/spies base would give you all the info about this and neighbor regions (like where are points of interest, ruins, dungeons, enemy bases and their numbers, also they could inform you about enemy like upcoming attack or his ruins digging and would have medium defensiveness. Trade center would obviously get you more money, merchants and would let you build mining complexes and logging camps, thus you would get big number of resources for you and your army, also would have low defenses. Now let's get to war table, this could be the very place where you would decide how missions would go and thus different rewards not like now you just have different time to complete. I mean when there would be for example the barbarian tribesmen which would attack my supply routes, I could send diplomat or herald and he would try to appease them which then could result in their aid, or send spy who would try to get better information about why the enemy is attacking my supplies and if he has ties with my enemies, or send my soldiers and destroy the tribe and make them slaves for me and get their resources. The last option would get me most resources but would hurt my relationship with all other tribes and could result in bigger aggressions from them and eventually becoming my enemies. I mean when you cook you break eggs, so when I do something like ally in region with barbarians then the lords will start looting my supplies and become my enemies. You know they said in one video that when you ally with someone you became enemy with their enemy, so this would be it.
I know this is long but please read it bioware and anyone here as this is my "Feedback & Suggestions"
