This is really BS with Bioware i have bought two games with them and i am REALLY dissapointed. The first one DA:O i had a hard to with and now this ? COME ON !!!!!! i think they have their heads stuck up their arses ! i mean really all of us either paid 60 or 50 dollars for this game and its not even working !!

I have two computers in my house The Computer that has a Quad core runs the game fine and the computer with the single core freezes up on the loading screen. I was wondering if it was because the game can't run on a single so I did experiment I disabled 3 or my cores on my quad core by setting the afinity to 1 core for the program so the game was running on a 1 single 2.5Ghz core and the game ran noticably slower then when I was using all 4 core, but it loaded and was playable so I see no reason why a single core shouldn't work

yeah, sounds like you're having the same problem as us. the cerberus problem is unrelated, due to an EA server problem, probably from being overworked.

your machine pretty much prooves it is not a single core issue. sounds more and more like a bug of some sort to me.

figures. that means there is nothing we can do about it really.

I was able to cancel out of connecting to the EA Servers and go into game...just, I have a lot of DLC I want to play around with.

From what i've been reading some people can actually get to a point where they can edit some aspects of their character. i have yet to get even that far.

well, all we can do is keep discussing the problem, and trying to find workarounds (i'm still not downloading that no intro patch.)

What I don't get is - if these "fixes" being put out by pirates are viable work-arounds, then why the heck can't Bioware produce something similar?



Yeah, I get the "needs testing" - but the game obviously "needed testing".



I'm reluctant to try any of these because I don't feel I can trust the sites.

I agree nat....we paid for this game we should be allowed to experience the WHOLE game, we did pay for it after all. It's not like we only paid for the gameplay, we also paid for the movies included, we should get them, no questions asked.

its not like someone has never taken someone's patch, piggybacked a trojan to it, and uploaded it to a free download provider before.



and metal, look at the traffic in the rest of the forum. its obviously working for all of them, else they would all be in this thread with us.

to confirm the game does work fine so this is an issue with certain configurations.



need to figure out what the config issue is that maybe causing it so the more details you post on your pc...the better it is to track



So post OS / Video card / driver version / Retailor if digital etc.

Lol.. Just helping people who want the help.. I'm not telling you to download anything I'm just letting you get in the game that you payed money for.. If you decide to use that that's all up to you, but don't throw a fit because I'm trying to help you guys play..

You were having the same problem as us - but you disconnected yourself from the EA servers and it worked? I don't see why - perhaps you're experiencing something different. Hmm...

im having same problem freezes on loading screen after new charater. I bought a dule core just for this game.. thou it was DOA... so gotta send it back but even so people with dule and single are encountering this problem. Please give us some tech support so we can play this epic game! lol.

way ahead of you, read some of the back posts, i did that. there is another load screen immediately after that, and the game freezes again.

Lol.. Just helping people who want the help.. I'm not telling you to download anything I'm just letting you get in the game that you payed money for.. If you decide to use that that's all up to you, but don't throw a fit because I'm trying to help you guys play..

no worries mate, the whambulence comment was direct at dfballa. a few people have already used the patch and had varrying results. my worries are more about keeping my computer std-free.
