Jesus Christ. It's like buying Mario and not expecting a Platformer. Get over yourselves.
You don't see how it's unique because people like you generalize everything in every game they've played, so you'd just say "oh this is just a glorified WoW" or something equally stupid.
The irony here is so...thick. "People like you..." LOL about generalization.
Back to earth. The guy you criticize expected a Bioware MP to play like a previous Bioware MP - which in fact it does in numerous ways. Nothing unreasonable here to compare.

Weapons should have no levels but should be upgradeable - as in ME3. I mean a level 3 purple - seriously? After you finally find a blue or purple level 19+, your odds of finding anything useful in a chest decrease dramatically, thus killing any sense of progression.
"To the first sentence: I agree. Most of the unique weapons are just lore trophies right now.
To the bolded sentence: Is there dev confirmation that the odds of a unique drop decrease based on your most recent unique drop? Because I highly doubt they would reveal such information. For such a claim there should be proof, not just the BSN's suspicions."
The odds of anything dropping most likely has nothing to do with what's already in your inventory. But this wasn't my point. What dramatically decreases is your odds of an UPGRADE dropping over what you already have in your inventory. As RNG blesses you with better weapons, these odds will drop signficantly, and if you are "lucky" enough, will reach ZERO when you acquire the best weapon in class.
"Lucky" is quoted here because after you do acquire said best in class weapon - progression for you in game will have ceased, and all you would be playing for is the gameplay - which is still a strong reason to keep playing, but not as strong as ME3 MP's model where loot progression additionally persisted for a much longer time with incremental improvements to existing weapons.
