Good but not great. Out of 61 hours and change, I really only enjoyed about a third of that. Too much time spent doing junk quests in the open areas that had zero impact on the rest of the game.

Played on Xbox One so I can't comment on PC, but anecdotally it seems like X1 & PS4 have had fewer issues. Never ran into some of the really nasty bugs my friend with the PC version has been forced to endure. I encountered almost no issues during my playthrough, other than a cutscene getting stuck once or twice.

I will eventually rebuy the game for PC when there's new content, the game goes on sale, and the bugs and user interface are fixed. This game is crying out for a linear, story-heavy 20-25 hour expansion; the foundation of main game is solid but there's not much there.

I adored it. Probably one of my favorite games. Not without flaws, but certainly better than many games that have been released the past few years.

Then again, I liked ME3. And apparently that's a sin on BSN.

My game of the year is Planescape: Torment.

Cool, I've never played that game. Is it on console? (I'm a dirty console peasant lol)

I think it's an excellent game. Once they finally fix the graphical glitching on the NVIDIA high-end cards and patch in a character appearance editor the game will be near-perfect, imo. Sure there's some stuff that could be improved upon, but that's the case with every game. I give it a rocksolid 9/10

7/10.

Its a game with a lot of potential, and with some solid DLCs it could be amazing.

Better end-game (what happened to Bioware's epic endgame goodbye speeches and mid-bosses?) , more variations of armors, and content that isn't so MMO.

Also didn't see the point of multiplayer. Played for 3 mins and got bored. ME3 did it right.

I had no idea they actually had it on there to be honest. I ended up getting a copy of the game from Amazon for next to nothing (About $5) physical.

I generally like Angry Joe but his DA:I review was horrid.

The game is solid. No major issues with single player, and a lot of really fun material.

Loved it. Terrific game, not without its flaws, but still a fantastic experience

I completely adored this game. I'm not 100% if it's the strongest game release for me this year, but it's far and away the one I feel the most emotionally invested in.

7/10 barely and that's being generous.

It had potential to be so much more but never achieved it with all the cut features and content, lack of depth to most of the game and to it's detriment everything being too insular from quests to zones and more including lack of consequences/resolution in game to your choices and lack of plot branching as well as seriously limited replay value...it feels like could of been great but it was squandered and rushed for Christmas holiday release instead of adding back the features and content they cut, improving many of it's elements and adding polish and depth to the game as well as taking the time to release a product that works well instead of the very badly optimized, buggy/glitchy mess that we currently have (at least on PC as I cannot speak for console version given do not own console versions).

PC player here. Loved the game. Far better than DA2. Origins story is better (slightly better), Inquisition better in everything else. I replayed Origins 6 times (for all the sex/race option). I've replayed Inquisition 7 times so far.

Of course that's my opinion. I don't see the thedious grinding. Sidequests are great, specially because they need exploring, looking and reading, far better than the dialogue theme park sidequests of Origins. Also, I love the graphics, And I may be the only PC player that absolutly LOVE the new controls. The new combat system is new and fresh, no healing spells, only the mage barrier... I really hate the origins "Ok, so I place the tank here, healer, now you make this spell, archer here, and... go". *2 seconds of fighting* "ok, stop again. Now you go here, you use this spell..."

That's my opinion, of course. I'm not going to say that old cliché "the only valid opinion is MINE!!!!!!" And the consensus? Play it. You'll love it, or you'll hate it. It's a risk. I think that's the consensus.

Outstanding game (on Xbox One).

Played c.250 hours (2 elective restarts) and have not yet reached the end.

BioWare's first outing on Frostbite 3 means that DLCs and DA4 may be better still.

PC player here, I HATE the controls and UI and lack of tactics system and bad tac cam, as well as other issues I have (poor introduction, main villian not fleshed out enough). I'm happy though that the PC controls are getting addressed soon.

But, there is a TON of good to outweigh the bad, I fking love this game - 8/10 from me

And the hairstyles are just awful pukesacks full of awful.  I hate them with a fiery passion of a million burning suns.  And I still give the game 8 of 10 for being throughly enjoyable in spite of awful PC user interface

I was around during that time and it was 1000 times worse than it is now.

Lol, yes.

Actually, I think the reception here on the forums have been rather good. One additional indicator is that a lot of regulars have been posting very sparingly, evidence of them being busy playing the game instead.

There's a small clan running around with panic in their eyes, screaming: " - B-B-But it can't be as good as DA:O!? - Look at the flaws!"

I think they can relax. No, it can't be as good as DA:O. And it is flawed.    ... Just like all games ever!

But it is a good game. I have no perspective on how good it is. It'll have to wait for later. But I like it. It seems an excellent foundation to go forward from for future sequels.

That's a lot of dedication but it's something you love. I can't get through this game once let alone seven times.

I think it's also important to remember two things

1. This is a foundation for the future games. They're not going to rebuild an entire system to suit RPG's now that they have one (the frostbite engine). That should allow a lot of leeway for the devs. I'm thrilled to see what they could do with this new engine for future DA games.

2. It's not going to be an Origins 2.0. So don't expect it. Origins is its own game. Don't judge the two side-by-side because they play differently and there are a lot of new approaches to the game in DA:I. (Personally, I hated the gameplay of origins. I mean, I downright despised the gameplay. God only knows how I got through the game once).

PC Player, loved it, even though there are a lot of things I wish Bware had done differently/better. It's not so much that I got over those things (lack of healing was, is and will ever be a dumb idea, as is limited potions, crafting system in general, terrible animations, etc) but that the overall, the game was enjoyable enough that I could see beyond those issues. I do hope Bware takes its lumps and learns from it in the future, though to be fair, that is precisely what they have done up to this point. So...I guess at the end of it, I'm still in their corner. Tenuously, but just the same.

As for GoTY, while I congratulate Bware on that award, there was literally nothing else this year that could have afforded them any real competition. As games go, particularly as AAA RPGs go, this year was barren. The Far Cry series sits in its own little divisive space as shooter/rpg blender that would make it a doubtful contender for that award and RPGs like SoM/D3/DS2, while good, lacked the berth and grand cinematic feel of DAI. It was essentially a win by default, the only games that stood a chance of challenging it aren't due until 2015-2016 and one particular fan-favorite (Witcher 3) is, if recent reports are true, going to disappoint more people than it is going to satisfy.
