Okay, there is still 2 days for EU release and 3.5 hours for US release.

I want this game so bad so i tried countless diffrent ways to make steam think i am in us. I stumbled across a combo of tools that will allow you do that. There are VPN and Proxies involved BUT you only need this until you start pre-loading. Once you start perloading you'll drop VPN and proxies, and will contunie preloading using your own connection and connection speed.

I am currently residenting in TURKEY, which steam includes in Europe, and shows the release date as 29th. So far i preloaded %50 of the game using the steps explained in this guide.

As i said it wont be slow as you might think, since once you start preloding you'll switch to your own connection.

I am posting this since 2 of my friends confirmed that this technique works.
First of all exit steam completely. Make sure it is not running in system tray.

1. download ProxyCap http://www.proxycap.com/download.html
    -this is the trial version of proxycap but it's enough for this guide.
2. download Your Freedom http://www.your-freedom.net/index.php?id=downloads  (you need JAVA installed)
   - you need to create a account on your-freedom site, but it's freeç
   -again this is speed-limited free version of the your freedom but it's enough.
3.Install both tools,
4. Start proxycap. It'll start and show you a small screen(click TRY) and will minimize to system tray.
5. right click on proxycap icon and then click preferences.
6. Go to proxies, and click "new proxy" (the only non-greyed out button on topleft.)
7. Fill in the fields:
        Type: Socks V5
        Host: localhost
        Port: 1080
        leave the rest as it is and click ok.
8. Go to "Rules" from left pane this time.
9. Again click the "new rule" button, it's in the same place as it was in the proxy screen.
10. Fill in the fields

       Proxy Server: default OR localhost:1080
       From Application field click on "Specify" radio button and select "steam.exe" from steam directory.
       Check both TCP and UDP from trandsports field.
       leave the rest as it is and click ok.

You are done with the proxycap now, Run your-freedom.

1. It will ask your language, chose english since i am explaining stuff according to english version.
2. there will be a simple wizard (it'll test all your-freedom servers, may take 1-2 mins.)
3. then it will show you a list of available your-freedom servers, pick one of the US servers.
4. then it will ask you to login, use the account you registered from your-freedom site.
5. click "Start Connection" from main your-freedom screen.

You are ready to go. Fire up the steam. This is the most painful part. Steam will patch itself to US version, you have wait for this and there is a 64kb/s cap on your-freedom free accounts. It took around 15 mins for me. You'll see the green "Updating Steam Platform" screen.

After this point my steam had hard time logging in after several times of crashing it succeded on logging in. (my firend didnot have this problem, so if you have this problem let me know, i made some changes they could be the reason). It becomes unresponsive from time to time just wait.

Then steam will start, If you can bear the speed of 64kb/s go and check the store page it will say game will unlock in 4 hours.

Go to your gamelist and right click on mass effect 2 then click "view preload info". star preloading, after steam starts downloading and you see a download speed listed on games list, you are done. Shutdown proxycap and your-freedom from system tray.(you should stop your-freedom connection first). Steam will continue downloading over your own connection.

You MAY need to run proxycap and your-freedom again at the point you need to unlock the game. we will wait and see.

PROTIP: If you downloaded game from other sources and installed it, copy all files to your steam mass effect 2 directory, it will greatly improve the preloading time.

my preload is nearing completion, i'll be done with pre-loading in 10-15mins, mine is DDE so i sitill have 6 hours to wait, we will see if it works.

I wouldn't attempt this. There is a chance, although perhaps slight, that your steam account might get banned for doing this.

i just got my key from steam and registered it.
