I love this game soo much but after killing my 3rd dragon at a level 17 mage group It's breaking my heart. The Animation of the dragon going down after limb damage and then continuing till it's finish. I think it's the animation of the going down till the end is the heartening part. Any one else tired of Killing Dragons and plan on leaving them alone.

Are there any story missions that still depend on killing others. Yes this is the internet and there will be the macho ra ra BS, but is there anyone who feels like this?

Blood on my hands need to fast travel to get it off.

all i can say is they are really easy after the first one. In fact, only the Hinterlands one is giving me any trouble.

but i agree, the dragons are minding their own business mostly and u go around collecting their heads for fun.

I feel worse killing non-hostile animals for leather... only bad part of being a rogue and needing those medium armor ingredients. x(

Dragons are fun to fight imo, and have great loot, but I can understand where you're coming from.

Where did this viewpoint come from? Killing dragons and dragon fights are among the best bits of the game. Leaving such monsters to their own devices seems a bit irresponsible.

Yeah, I can't even kill the High Dragon in Origins. She's just minding her own business and I come in and chop her head off? Lame. :(

I also stopped killing them because I just couldn't do it anymore. Some of them are so pretty and I just feel guilty after a while. I plan to not kill any on my next playthrough. ..Well, unless it's Cory's

Dragons kill many humans during its hunt. Quests in DA2 have us hunt dragons specifically because it killed a lot of miners.

If people are okay with killing animals for food then I don't see why we can't kill dragons for killing humans. I guess it's just the case of as long as you don't see the cruelty, it's ok, like as long as they don't see the slaughterhouse, they're ok with eating cows.

Was referring to the OP and such general sentiments.

Sometimes I don't use quotes for brief responses.

The fights are perfectly balanced, but the constant re-positioning every five seconds is indeed tiring.

Nope, I loved hunting them down, slaughtering them and looting them and sometimes their children for everything on them.

It was mostly that I loved the music that played during the fight and they were the only challenging boss fight for me.

Better question: Why can't my mage imbibe all this fresh dragon blood and become a supreme arch-magus?

It was after killing my first dragon, that my inquisitor had a chat with Bull in the Skyhold tavern about dragons. Bull had some interesting things to say, like he enjoyed a good fight, and there's no tougher opponent than a dragon, so there's that... But I could hear the respect he had for them too, like he was sad we had to do it.... He didn't actually say that but that's what I took away from the conversation... so I kinda feel bad about killing them... but at the same time the loot is awful shiny.

I have yet to kill a dragon that wasn't in the main plot, and really don't plan to do it ever. I prefer them alive.

Unless you kill a dragon, you can't access Iron Bull storyline.

I haven't done that yet, either. As and when, but I'm in no rush. I prefer to watch them, alive and whole.

I don't really like to kill Dragons either, especially when they are just minding their own business like the other animals.

But then, that Dragon armor ain't crafting itself and 1 dragon gives me only 5 crafting materials, so I'll probably have no choice but to slay them all.

And the Pro-Dragon forum federation is born.

I guess anything can happen.

I killed all of them for the achievement and after I killed all ten I didn't even get it. But anyways, the only dragon I didn't want to kill was the one in the Emerald Graves, that one was so pretty Im probably gonna leave that one alone in my other play thrus

Last I checked, dragons are an extremely dangerous animal that will tear apart and ransack villages when it gets too hungry. If I recall correct, we also kill High Dragons which are female, which lay eggs, which create more dragons, which lead to more villages going up in flames and hundreds of people dying.

I'm ok with killing the ones too close to civilization.

In spite of my user name, yes I agree. Killing the dragons feels twisted and unfair. They really aren't the antagonists in Thedas.

Killing non aggressive wildlife sucks too and I refuse to do it. All my leather tends to come from aggressive animals.

Also, I'm tired of aggressive wolves. For one, when you kill them in any game you hear a sound clip of a whimpering dog. That's just sick. For two, wolves are amazing animals. Endangered, beautiful, intelligent.

George RR Martin is a fan of wolves, and any time a wolf dies in GOT, he makes your heart break.

But loot is good.

(And I feel like a horrible horrible man for making an endangered species even more endangered.)

Still, better these than some of the dragons in Skyrim. They were people, some of them were good. They showed capacity to change. Yet there I was cutting them down for loot and soul.

Sure, I feel kind of bad, but then I think about the loot and get on with steeling myself for battle.

The dragon fights are my favorite fights of the game. I have actively gone out of my way to hunt them all down and kill them while recording the fights. Not to mention they are the most beautifully created creatures in the game. My Knight Enchanter slices the dragon's Achilles tendon while I allow Bull to smack it on the nose until it falls. I do believe the most disappointing part is that Drakes, and not yet full grown dragons have mysteriously finished from the face of Thedas.....
