Favourite part of the game for me.

Just last night I solo'd the Highland Ravager (??)  @ Emprise du Lion as a level 22 S & S Templar.

Greatest DAI moment when she finally went down.

And those saying they rather not kill the dragons cause thye are so cutesy, well..you people are like cray, cray.

Those who has any illusions about wild animals like this "because majesty" needs to get a grip. If it poses a threat to people it dies. Reminds me of a story from Kosovo I heard from one of our captains who served there. Wild dogs had become an increasingly huge problem in the area and eventually a few kids ended up getting killed by them, so the locals came to the local KFOR garrison to ask for help. They ended up shooting several thousand dogs and threw them in great stinking piles (of course some idiot made a music video out of the affair but thats people for you). I can't say I would find any problem in killing single creatures that kill hundreds after hearing that story.

I enjoyed the dragon fights, I've always liked getting to see them up close and watch them wreak havoc on an inhuman scale.

That said. I'm tired of FIGHTING dragons. I want to play AS them for a change of pace.

Not as a pet, not as a minion, not as a mount. I'd like to fly around fighting toner giant beasties, as well as the tiny ankle-biting manlings,  even get a STORY from that perspective.  I've only seen a few games go for that perspective, most have you controlling a hatchling or  as a companion for a human character. I'd pay money for a mode that lets me play as a high dragon fighting against the dragonslatyer/giants/darkspawn hordes threatening its stuff.. or maybe try a hand at manipulating humans into doing its bidding like the cult at the temple of sacred ashes.

That'd be a better use of time than just leaving them be(and safer). >.>

but like what many had said... they are too pretty to be just a dragon skull...

anyway, there is only one quest in Emprise du Lion that remotely mentioned they CAN be a threat. no where in the story is mentioned they have already eaten tons of people.

in my games, only Bronto bodies are in their lair so they are just eating harmless animals, not humans.

On my curent playthrough, the fourth, I've gone through an killed all 10 since it is a cakewalk, and I was hoping I got an extra celebrate scene with Iron Bull (I brought him and Sera along for al Dragon fights).

I don't feel any particular guilt, but I think I will simply keep my dragonkilling to those in quests or by populated areas such as Hinterlands, Wester Approach and Crestwood.

The rest might live. I might do the ones in Emprise du lions, they are just a bit annoying.

Anyone who claims that these are peacefull harmless creatures needs to be put down for being too much of a damn hippy

I don't think anyone is saying they are peaceful or harmless. They are dangerous. But there is something about them that is majestic and magical. From what I gather about DA. The problem that Solas, Flemeth, and other powerful beings are seeing  (even Coryshyt) is that the world is becoming less magical and more mundane...probably like our own irl world.  So to me, letting the Dragons live is like doing my part to preserve that magic and keeping the world less mundane.

I even enjoyed the war table mission about finding a new home for the Wyvern that were displaced because we took over the Keep in that area and cut off its food source. Yes they posed a danger but only because we intruded on their land first.

I would feel less bad if there were some burninated peasants that begged us to kill a dragon because it just destroyed their village or something. As it is, it feels like poaching exotic animals.

I feel worse killing non-hostile animals for leather... only bad part of being a rogue and needing those medium armor ingredients. x(

Dragons are fun to fight imo, and have great loot, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I really just want to get Fennecs to not get caught in the crossfire during combat anymore.

That whimper sound they make!

Even in my first playthrough i only killed around 3 dragons. Really didn't feel comfortable hunting them all, given what amazing creatures they are.

Every time I encounter one, I actually said to myself, "Wow" in amazement. Then proceeded to slay them all. Of course, only to receive a trophy for my accomplishment.

...

I feel dead inside...

This kind of  reminds me of a conversation I had with my grandma today about it after telling her about Inquisition. Tried to shame me out of the game for the fact that you can kill animals in it. Now I freaking love dragons I love them to bits I used to be so obsessed with them that for a good chunk of high school I obsessed over a dragonology book and learned the 'dragon writing' in it to a point where it became a second langue to me, but I don't feel bad about killing the dragons one because outside of the one you have to kill for the story and one extra one I kill to get a scene with Iron Bull I don't kill that many dragons  and two because I can separate myself from it all baddies are alike to me when I'm playing thats just how it is for me though I can understand it not being that way for others.

I think of Dragons as giant loot-lizards.

I want to emend anything I may have said earlier in this thread that may have given the impression that I didn't want to kill dragons. I now fully endorse the quoted statement. They are loot-lizards, and like Bull says, they are good fights, and when a dragon finally goes down for the count, you know you've accomplished something.

I just faced the Greater Mistral in the Emerald Graves, and it was an awesome display of knight-enchantery magical goodness, and when I looted the dead beast it was totally worth it. I may not even sell any of the gear I don't want, just because.  B)

You do realize is it would be too late at that point since the village was already destroyed and many people were already eaten. You could have prevented that by killing the dragon that has their hunting ground near the village.

Wasn't the one in Crestwood something like that? Where the woman on the hill mentions its eaten some live stock and a few guards already? So you can think of that one as clearing out the problem before it gets to that point, at least that's how my mind went about that one.

I feel bad killing nugs, fennecs, those things that Blackwall calls cute, even bears sometimes. But the dragon swoops down and attacks you, and we all know that's bad! When I first fought the Hinterlands dragon I felt a bit bad because Solas insulted people who hunt dragons and it made me feel self-concious haha.

I killed the wyvern in Crestwood because some stupid villager said she was "acting aggressively" and... yeah. Sorry, I'm going to need to see the charred cabins before I care about what stupid villagers say. The fights are boring to me, like watching paint dry. It's just a boss fight. And there's plenty of loot in the game, since I don't care about grinding to level 30 or whatever. So I take my enjoyment from watching them and then moving on. "Not killing everything you see" =/ hippie, and if it is then I don't care.

Nope, no guilt at all. I usually switch off and just enjoy the game and I love challenges and there is nothing better than taking down a dragon.

While they are rather majestic creatures (always wanted a pet dragon), Iron Bull is right saying that they need to be put down since they are "chaotic creatures" (not remembering exact wording). And of course whole "eating cattle and people" thing...

Plus, Iron Bull is so happy whenever we are fighting dragons.

I'm pretty sure all those animals and people that got eaten by the dragons were minding their own business as well.

If one signs up as a dragonebone, weave and scale donor, I'll leave it be.
