Taking away attributes in favor of some auto feature-what were they thinking? Allowing you to preload attributes let's you craft the best mix of features for the way you play, don't understand that one.
I agree that there are so many issues with crafting that it deserves individual treatment in it's own DLC. This will also allow modders to better aid people, sort of like one stop shopping. It would be relatively easy for players to edit features in a DLC for many known issues of missing and incorrect items. That you need strength in a staff is problemattic, for instance. These should be willpower, intelligence, maybe a staff bost and constitution as primary for a mage. Similarly, a rogue needs dexterity, willpower and cunning along with stealth. Of course health on strike or kill is anyones favorite.
I also feel the behavior modeling should be in a DLC - lets take Sera for instance. Add all of her independent features: finding camps, hunting, scrounging loot and herbs scouting and coming back with reports or even injured. She might take other team members from time to time. "I came across a difficult lock -can you get Leliana to get me some tools?". Some people will hate how this changes the game, but most will fall in love with Sear and her abilities.
