No sex appeals for straight guys.

We get:

 

Cassandra -  That jawline could break diamonds. She's more manly than freakin' Iron Bull! I think Superman is more feminine than her! 

Vivienne - Darling. Hair is important. Very important. Go get some. Please?

Sera - Looks like a train wrecked her face. Also, not a romance option. Also a super annoying attitude.

 

That's.. about it? No cute elf? No innocent cutie? No funny pirate lady? nothing?..please?.... oh.. okay.

Why Can't I hook up with the cute dwarf? Out cute ambassador? Lelliana? Anybody?

 

100 hours into the game, over 9 playthrough, and I have yet to romance anybody. Ah... Not cool!

 

How anyone can look at Cassandra's hips and not find her feminine is completely beyond me.

 

And you can romance that cute ambassador. Her name is Josephine, by the way, Mr. 9 playthroughs.

Alot of  these guys argue that josephine isn't actually a romance because you never see her naked. Not that I agree, but its an often repeated line.

 

Its not that you don't see her naked its that its just kissing in the Garden, no suggestion that the relationship is more than that... and then suddenly you are in a sword fight over her and telling her you love her.  After that you do get one scene where you are alone together and of course she comes back to your room after the party.  But its not very inspiring... I honestly wished I hadn't bothered with it.

By that logic, Solas isn't a romance either, and Blackwall only sort of counts because of that filthy Tarot card. And everyone romances Cullen, whether they want to or not .

Yeah true but you don't actually kill your "rival" because the "sensible" woman comes in a stops the two men fighting over her (lazy... lazy writing).  The choice you have at this point are split up with her of tell her you love her (I made a really bad choice, but I wanted to see the full romance plot).

Note: OK it doesn't have to be two men fighting as you could be female but I think the scene was written with this in mind.

I was actually thinking of the quest to restore her family. She doesnt want the spies to do it because someone might get hurt. And then she mopes if you do it her way and some random spy dies protecting her.

- Last time I looked at a woman, the face ranks nr.1 important. (Well nr2. The eyes are nr. 1). Her face is manlier than Iron Bulls face.

Josephine sort of looks like a rat tbh.

 

And Cassandra has a very Dwayne Johnson jaw.

 

That's just the looks. I didn't find them attractive at all.

 

And I didn't find anything remotely interesting about them emotionally.

The only thing that sort of piqued my interest was Cassandra being "normal" and reading smut novels from Varric.

 

I romanced Cass once.

Was closer to romancing Dorian than Josephine on my 2nd playthrough. And I'm straight. 
That's how bad the choices for males were.

Morrigan - despite the face she leaves you at the end

Liara

Lelianna

Tali

Ashley - would be above the cut off if I only considered ME1

Josephine

Samara

Morinth

Merril - my least favourite ME / DA companion untill...

Sera - wouldn't romance her even if she looked like Natalie Portman, I can't even stand talking to her

 

Admittedly I haven't actually romanced everybody on this list, but I also have no interest in doing so.  That can make a difference, Isabella's romance was better than I expected and Josephine's was worse.  The thing to note is how poorly DA does after the high point of DAO.  Of course this is just my opinion.
