Ehem.

No sex appeals for straight guys.

That's better.

We get:

Cassandra -  That jawline could break diamonds. She's more manly than freakin' Iron Bull! I think Superman is more feminine than her!

Vivienne - Darling. Hair is important. Very important. Go get some. Please?

Sera - Looks like a train wrecked her face. Also, not a romance option. Also a super annoying attitude.

That's.. about it? No cute elf? No innocent cutie? No funny pirate lady? nothing?..please?.... oh.. okay.

Why Can't I hook up with the cute dwarf? Out cute ambassador? Lelliana? Anybody?

100 hours into the game, over 9 playthrough, and I have yet to romance anybody. Ah... Not cool!

100 hours and over 9 playthroughs and somehow you are still very misinformed, sir. Sorry to say.

Vivienne is not a romance option. I think you have two chances to flirt with her and each time she expresses disinterest.

"Our cute ambassador" is, in fact, a romance option for all races and genders. Have you talked with her at all? Done her personal quest? That nice little heart option appears often enough. I would know, I've completed two playthroughs and romanced her each time.

Not quite full-frontal, but IIRC Jessica Rabbit has a couple of "Basic Instinct" frames.

Not even a couple. Literally 1 frame (1/24th of a second of film), and that's only on the old Laserdisc copies of the movie. VHS and future DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the movie don't even contain that single frame in the edit. Keep in mind, Who Framed Roger Rabbit is also hardly a children's film (unlike the common connotation that people think of when they think of Disney films).

I still am trying to figure out what exactly people would find wrong with the armor designs, in game armor is made to protect characters not accent their assets, as iron bull comments such showy armor is a good way to get killed.

I think characters are designed very well in DA:I from art perspective. Also this is a medieval fantasy game, i know in Asia girls are dressed like ***** in such games, but we are a western world setting.

How many of these threads do you think we'll get over DAI's 2-3 year lifespan as a popular game? I say the over-under is set at 2500. Beauty is a relative concept but if you can't see Cassandra's appeal, then I can't help you.

Hey did you see Dorian? He's so pretty. I don't know what you're talking about. I saw his butt the other day and I'm still butt.

I don't see it as a bad thing that the female characters ain't sexed up like they are in ME, id take Cass or Sera wearing armoured outfits over Miranda & Jack running around battlefields in a skintight catsuit & almost topless

Yeah, I cannot disagree with more with the OP.

Dorian?  Gorgeous (and dat azz...... ;))

Cullen?  Gorgeous

Varric?  Gorgeous

Vivienne?  Gorgeous

Cassandra?  Attractive

Josephine?  Attractive

Blackwall?  Attractive

The idea that they are all "ugly" is preposterous.

At some point in the game, Scout Harding will describe him exactly the same way.

but no NPC in this game has any sex appeal physically, including the Inquisitor.

I find this statement hilarious since you are completely in control of how the Inquisitor looks. If you think your Inquisitor is ugly, that's on you.

I don't know what you think armor is supposed to do but its for protection, not so the characters can look attractive while their fighting. They're more concerned about staying alive.

It sounds like you have extremely unrealistic expectations and want every character to be a flawless supermodel. In case you haven't noticed, everyone has flaws in real life.

& I would just like to point out that you are complaining about the sex appeal of fictional, virtual characters in a video game. Don't you have other things that are higher up on your priority list or are you just that bored?

I still am trying to figure out what exactly people would find wrong with the armor designs, in game armor is made to protect characters not accent their assets, as iron bull comments such showy armor is a good way to get killed.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

Much as I agree with your comment, I don't think Mr Harness and Parachute Pants Iz Teh Armorz has a lotta room to talk on the subject. ;)

Also, between him and Sera ... yellow is *not* the new black, people!

In response to thread title: Whay are you so shallow OP?

The characters are not overtly sexualized.  This does not make them unattractive or unsexy especially as you ge tto know them. Cassandra and Solas are strong examples of how looks that initially seemd unappealing become beautiful over time.  I thought Cassandra was mannish and Solas quite plain until I adventured with them for over 8o hours and listened to their voices.  I think Cassandra is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in games now and Solas is surprisingly attractive and I have a hard time understanding my initial reactions.  And Sera is adorable and her shitty haircut endearing, more than made up for by her stunning eyes and adorable freckles.

Opinions dude

Hah, I know right? I think my Inquisitor's pretty good looking, but eye of the beholder and all that good stuff.

Other than the fact half of them are coats, and the only real armor for Dwarf/Elf/Qunari Warriors for about 3/4ths of the game has those awful beige flaps? And the light/medium sets are just leather coats with some mail slapped on?

The armor design in DAI is by far uglier than in either DAO or DA2. DAO's massive armor had goofy Warhammer-esque pauldrons, but I'd take it back in a heartbeat over the generic stuff DAI slaps you with.

This does not apply to humans, of course, who get 80% of the available armors restricted to them alone.

can see the point of lack of control on body shape of the inquisitor.

its also would help towards creating trans characters while also people who want eye candy can make the char they want. thats my only dislike about the char creation

I'd bang Cassandra in a heartbeat! I would try to push The Iron Bull into a dark corner but he would put his hand on my neck, pick me up and throw me against the wall, then take me...........I need ice water now.

I think a lot of people who are posting responses like "not this thread again" are forgetting that a quick look to the OP's profile seems to indicate that he isn't very familiar with what's been going on with this forum in the past months (I myself hopped in only a few months ago).

Let the person share their opinions, don't shut people down indiscriminately even if you don't agree. Let people talk and share arguments. There's enough belittling going on the internet as it is.

P.S. And I really don't agree with OP, I find the characters much more realistic (in their general aspect) as compared to previous instalments. I would like to add here that the bodies seemed a little off in a way, but that's just the uncanny valley speaking :D

I agree with this, but about 3/4ths of the forum response for complaints is either "I don't care" or "Make the same insipid jokes for the ten millionth time". Because, you know, it's just fine to ridicule an opinion that isn't in line with yours, especially if it's from a particular viewpoint.
