Kind of wondering if they've announced that yet.

I played the crap out of ME3MP and the weekly balance changes were one of my favorite things about it.

Also...feel like as is DAMP has room for improvement in that department so just wondering if they've said anything about when it'll be starting up.

Hi

Yes its confirmed

They have said there will be weekend event that will last more than one year in many multiplayer stream before the launch of Inquisition

They have said too, reward for these event will grant shematic and have said it is better to keep material for those shematic

But we don't know when it will begin

I'm pretty sure they won't make that begin before they have fix all the multiplayer bugs and finished the Inquisition HQ website

So who knows, perhaps in one month, perhaps later

It's too late, with ME3 under their belt the weekend challenges should have started week #1. Anything later is too late. It just shows how MP wasn't ready to be released. We had to wait 2 weeks for Inquisition HQ and it's not even complete... The DA MP launch is an epic failure, I hope they learn their lessons for ME4 MP...

point of interest: in me3mp only balance changes we're weekly and they didn't stay weekly for very long, it was later changed to bi-weekly and then monthly and then nothing

don't expect too much, BW is now aware of how much work weekly changes are and will likely not do them that often

They went almost a year with weekly changes.

They didn't learn a thing between ME3MP and DAMP, so I wouldn't hold my breath for any sweeping reforms from BiowarEA.

ME3 was release on March 6 2012.

Balance changes were weekly for almost a year (50 weeks, Christmas excluded) then it simply stopped. There were no monthly or bi-weekly balance changes, unless you count the final changes that skipped 1 week, but this happened only once...

As for Weekend Challenges, they started on March 16 (10 days after launch). They went on a bi-weekly basis until October 19 2012, then went on a weekly basis from October 26 2012 to March 5 2013. Operations ended on March 5 2013, 1 day before a full year from release.

Extremely rare to have that level of support that ME3mp had in any game, let alone on console multiplayer.  In my eyes, BW has some residual good will built up, where they can take a few weeks to begin supporting MP, especially with such delivered value in single player playtime.  I would love to hear an official word on when we can expect MP support though.  This MP has a ton of potential.

What diagorias said. They probably took a vacation after the big release, then had to work on bugs for patches (and probably still not done there yet), now the Christmas holiday and New Year's coming up. I'm betting we'll see new things after the New Year.

I liked this post, but then I unliked it when I got to the part about DAMP launch being an epic failure. It has stumbled a bit, and I put the blame for that on management.

But an epic failure would be something unplayable. Or something so bad or foolish that news articles about it go viral on Facebook, like with SimCity.

Definition of biweekly: Biweekly may refer to an event that occurs either twice weekly or once every two weeks.

http://www.merriam-w...ionary/biweekly

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biweekly

As neither balance changes or weekend challenge were either "twice a week" or "every 2 weeks" (at least after 6 months from release in the weekend challenges case), I fail to see how you came to your conclusion. Can you clarify please?

Also, English might not be the first language of everyone here (myself included) so you might want to rethink your attitude...

Furthermore, receiving a lecture on how to read "dates" from English is the pinnacle of irony. You might want to learn how 99.9% of the rest of the world writes them instead of basing yourself on the outdated method that is used by only the US and 2 or 3 third-world countries on this planet...

I read the actual dates and still think it was weekly, given that 47/49 updates were 6-8ish days apart and the one long break was followed by two more updates within a few days.  How awkward.

To me, biweekly = event happens twice within a 7 day period.

Fortnightly = event happens once every 14 days.

As for DAMP updates and challenges, meh.  They will happen when they happen;  or they won't.
